So happy to see Angus doing so well to start the season. Former teammate of mine at Sturt and the guy has so much potential, was a bargain in the draft for you guys couldnt believe he lasted so long.
Looking for a great career out of Monners.

He must be gutted that he didn't get drafted to the Crows. Imagine him running around for them at the moment. Should be our next captain.

I think he's well and truely over that. I don't think we'll ever see this boy go home.
He'll be a cult figure very soon, if he isn't already.

Yeah, he doesn't strike me as the type to go home.
Last night he was fantastic, and will only get better. Will be the next Ben Cousins - can run, can deliver, and boy, does he love a goal.

He`s gone way past the "cult figure" IMO "cult figures" are blokes who lack in a few areas. The battling types if you like. He`s got a song that took off last year, anyone who stands near me will know what I`m referring to. He`s a star. I`m scared for him, he`s very similar to Mark Harvey who copped many injuries playing in exactly the same way as Gus. But how do you tella bloke to pull up ? You can`t.

I played junior footy with both Angus and Byron Schammer and i draw the comparision there.
Both small, quick, tough, skilled and good around the sticks. Not to mention overlooked by many in the draft due to there size.

I was as rapt as I've ever been after last years draft, and sure I might have been a little biased but the 2 SA boys in Monfries and Slattery, couldn't have drafted better myself! No surprise they are 2 of my favourites and Angus is from my area too. :thumbsu:

Gus was magnificent Sat night, will be a favourite of ours for a long time, if not already, the kid has that much potential its scary, reminds me of a Darren Williams gutsy type, with a Bewick goal sense, the kid can play

He was actually told he was going to get drafted to Port Adelaide and he was shattered. He hates them.

Win - win for me. Tommo is gonna be a star aswell. Has some of the ebst hands in tight i have ever seen for a kid his age. Only problem is he doesn't ever kick the ball.
