How does this guy get a game? Honestly?
No awareness, a long kick but does nothing with them, no right foot and a heart the size of pea...
Surely we have somemone who can do better than this?

Yeah, he had a dirty day. Missing an easy goal and getting run down in the centre (should have been holding) were the two plays I remember him most by.

I like to think that Gilmore is a up to the game but has some confidence issues. He has been on the fringe for so long that he worries too much about his game and doesn't play naturally. That's what I like to think anyway.

Peake also had a pretty average game. Both will be questionable starters for Football Park.

The answer to this question is simple. Heaps of Freo supporters kept calling into 6pr last year and kept asking for Gilmore to be the side. They bagged Conolly and said he had an agenda for Gilmore being out of the side.

This is like the same situation with Troy Longmuir. The supporters wanted him in the side the coaching staff wisely thought otherwise

I for I am glad that Happy wasn't dropped last week as I felt he may have needed another game to settle.

Unfortunatley He was disappointing again but will have more of an idea of what he needs to do to improve.

Can't see him being there next week.

Hasleby should replace him next week. black was lucky to have got the call-up and showed his in the team to stay and his raking left foot is more accurate then gilleys

I don't know if it's that wide-eyed look that he has, but he always seems to be trying to be too flashy, like "hey look at me"... and tries to do too much himself. His softness will do little to endear him now that he's got his chance.

I seem to recall that this guy has been discussed in depth on previous occasions, the fact of the matter is that he is not an AFL player. He has always been a bit suspect re committment and too one sided. As long as someone like him can get a game in front of a die hard committed player such as Cook Freo will go nowhere.

Fair enough except that I wouldn't have thought they were compting for the same spot. Totally different players. Gilmore's size would surely be a factor in him getting a game.

He's not even close to my best 22, but there are a lot of Gilmore fans out there. Denis Cometti is driving the band wagon I think.
