Pretty Stupid Idea IMO, but my mate claims Demons are harder at it than tha dons.

Whilst Essendon have some want to be toughmen, they still have Angus Monfries and Jason Johnson who are tough. Last time I checked, that's two more than Melbourne.

Though in a few years when the likes of McLean, Sylvia, Jones, Moloney and co. are hitting their straps we will be far from soft.

while you boys have hard players like mclean and sylvia you too have ur wana be toughmen miller and remeber that bloke in the 2000 granny at CHB forgot his name he was a spud thought he was the toughest bloke out ( sorry for going back 2 the past)
i think your club has a soft feeling about it u can draft guys like pickett and that but you guys need some courage in your side that brings out the toughness in ur players
besides the fact he can walk on water hird does those tough and courageous things that compell his team mates to do like wise
also evident in voss and carey

fair call on wannabe toughmen, milsy tries hard:D , our CHB in 2000 was Ingerson, wasn't a dirty player at all, was serviceable, we could certainly use him now

The funniest thing is the Richmond and Collingwood fans commenting on this thread when both Essendon and Melbourne have owned them in recent times.
The softest performance I have ever seen on a football field was the 2003 Grand Final. Absolutely spineless. And the less said about the 'tough' Tigers of the past two decades the better.
Back on topic the reason Melbourne beat Essendon in both games last year was they wanted it more. That doesn't make Essendon soft just Melbourne tougher in recent history.
