I'll be at the first 3 days and maybe the 4th with a couple of mates. Looking forward to meeting a few BigFootyites.
Dogboy, I've been there for the last 5 years and the 'G won't sell out. Will probably get 65-70,000 at best.
If anyone's prepared to buy me a return plane ticket, provide accomodation and food and tickets to the test, I'll be there... :D

I will definitely be at the first day, but that'll be all as I am going to Adelaide the next day to go to my cousin's engagement. But that'll be alright because Carl Hooper will be there (as most would know he has an Australian wife, she is the sister of my cousin who's engagement I am going to).

We may as well meet up at a pub nearby before the game (The Cricketer's Arms or the MCG Hotel) it's your pick.

The spelling there is about right for a Geelong supporter...

Now now Adam... ;)
I should be going, most likely day one, and any other day that takes my fancy.
I suggest the Cricketer's Arms for a meet-up.

Cool bananas.
Now we just have to decide on a day. It does not matter which day for me.

Well i'll probably be at the Cricketer's, around and hour before the game on day 3,4 and possibly 5, pound a few beers before the game, and hopefully meet up with some people here.
And if you have trouble spotting me, i'm around 6/1, big and i'll be wearing a Tatura Milk True Value Hardware cap, just so you can see me.
If you want to all meet up, just send some private messages through here or some e-mails if you have some of our addresses.

I will try to be their by between 10.15 and 10.30. I will be their on day 3. Not sure about the other days yet. Is day 3 still ok with you Wayde?
Reckon i'll be there on Boxing day
I'll be there days 2 and 3. Wouldn't mind catching up for a beer but inside the ground would suit me better. I'm around section M so if anyone's around there I'll be in.

I would not go today. Too much risk with the rain for me. But rain on Boxing day is a tradition.

I hope for your sake you chose to stay at home Darky! Still, I will be there again tomorrow, probably foolishly!
I went and I left by about 2.30. I had enough and I went home and watched it on TV.

Can you tell me how much it cost to get in? I intend to go on day 3, after meeting some Bigfooty people.

Unfortunately, I ignored the dire weather predictions and endured a rather frustrating day. At least there was a lenghty portion of play after Tea that made the day worthwhile.
Sitting in the Ponsford Stand, I was turning my neck every few minutes as there always seemed to be a new batch of weather coming from behind the Stand; it was just one of those days.
Probably Friday will be a better day to go to as it should be fine by then.
Darky & I decided at 9 am (Boxing day) that we'd go. By the time I got to the city it was chucking it down. So we looked around the shops for a while.
Then Darky says "I wanna go to the Bridge Hotel" which was of course at the other end of Bridge rd (practically in Hawthorn!). It like a few other pubs was closed (TYPICAL!). So we went & sunk a few in the Corner hotel and went in for an hours free cricket at 5 pm.
Long day, might try again on day 3 the forcast for friday is pretty good.

I went today (cost is $25 adult and $20 concession play on) and it was a great day's play.
Even with the Proteas sulking off early still got to see 97 overs - with the prospect of 105 tomorrow, they should get 25,000 - 30,000 again.
Australia were on top all day apart from just before Kallis' unlucky dismissal and the 10th wicket partnership. What did you guys think of Steve Waugh's tactics when Pollock and Hayward were in? We had the new ball - Pollock had been struggling and we were totally in control, and he starts putting 8 men on the boundary!!
South African bowling was dreadful - no plan in place and little discipline. Only Kallis could say he bowled well, and Donald looks about as threatening as Scott Muller at the moment! Pollock looked all at sea - at one stage he had mid-on directly behind the short mid-on!!
The highlight of the day, apart from Bichel's catch? Definitely Hayward's dismal attempt to stop a boundary right in front of the old Bay 13. The crowd had been giving him heaps all day, and couldn't believe their good fortune when he did that!
:D
