Just saying if we give Southport the bird and re-sign to play games at Canberra then they have said they will look for some other club to take over. Someone playing there at present would come under the sportlight I would imagine.

well its north, dogs and hawks, dogs look safe, hawks have piggy and jeff, poor old kangas are looking like shark meat.. but if the kangas did go gold, they will no doubt emerge in 2-3 years as a major player in the AFL and good luck to them, I would much rather the roos getting a free ride than a lot of other ahem sides.. but if the supporters dont want the move the AFL should back off them and let them try and work through their financial slump, like pull the home games off them, like this Monday so we can wear our jumper instead of the new clash jumper we will have to wear next year.

IF North Melbourne *did* relocate to the Gold Coast in a financial partnership with the Southport Sharks... do you think that they would change any of their colours, design, name, etc...?

For example, when South Melbourne moved to Sydney, they obviously became the Sydney Swans and changed their jumper to have the Opera House logo.

Would they be called: Gold Coast Kangaroos or Southport Kangaroos? Would the colours change? What colours are Southport currently?
