What good stuff is there from NZ?
I know there are some obvious ones, but to get the ball rolling, I'll give mention to a recent act, by the name of "Garageland", who have had two albums, with 1999's 'Do What You Want', housing the classic single 'You've gotta kiss it all goodbye'.

You get my vote on that one. :D
They also had another great 'cover' from Offspring with 'Pretty fly for a Maori guy'. Also :D
Mi Sex
Legends of Australasian Rock/Pop. Released some classics in the late 70's early 80's. Computer Games, Graffiti Crimes, People, It only Hurts when I'm Laughing, Space Race, Blue Day, Falling in and Out and Down the Line. And they were ahead of their time. Computer Games was about Computers taking over the world, People was about the cloning of humans, and Down the Line was about phone sex.

Submarine Bells is a brilliant album. Heavenly Pop Hit is a great pop song.
Straitjacket Fits
Down in Splendour is one of my all time favourite songs. Beautiful pop song.
Headless Chickens
Gaskrankenstation was a pretty cool song. They did some good stuff.
Close to 2/3rd of the stuff on the original list is released through Flying Nun Records which pretty much equals Kiwi music for those with a taste for the alternative end of things.
So maybe look to check out a comp. from them.
