Well, there's some life in this team, at least we know that. The game was there for the umpires to lose for us.

5 - Bruce (thank christ, thought we had nearly lost him there)
4 - Brocky
3 - Rivers (we really have missed him)
2 - Brown (looked good up forward, was important in the last qtr)
1 - Neita (4 goals solid)

Haha, thats what i said to dad when he got tackled on the wing. How on earth he didnt see whoever it was is just beyond me.

5 - Bruce (very good again. If we had won 3 he'd have 8 votes already just about)
4 - McLean (was in everything, getting fitness back, lots of good work around clearances)
3 - Neitz (kicked goals everytime we desperately needed them, great game captain)
2 - Rivers (alot of ball, alot of uncontested stuff but still very good)
1 - Green (showed heart (like Yze) put himself in a position to be hurt, diving on edwards boot, shirtfronting Thompson)

Miller in the backline AGAIN!!!

Some players just have it, some don't.

Travis could stand there for 10 minutes, surrounded by 6 players and nobody will get a hand on him. Brown is on his own, on the wing, and gets run down from behind just for standing there.

He tries to do too much sometimes, bless his heart, but you can't fault his endavour. He doesn't have many seasons left, so I guess we just need to expect that he'll get pinned once or twice a game and still give us plenty of drive.

Just like with Carroll, you gotta take the good with the bad. And when it comes to Carroll, comic value is the only good we got (that and keeping Nicho away from the field). :thumbsu:

5: Bruce (uses the ball better than anyone else, also chiped in 3 goals)
4:McLean ( solid contributor laid some big tackles as well)
3:Rivers (vital to our structure, when adelaide had a run on it was him that really slowed things down and drowned out thier momentum)
2: Neitz (best game i've seen him play since his 250th)
1:TJ (did some nice things)

5 - Neitz (his skills may be going but he is still a supurb leader. Best game in a long while and what a kick!!!)
4 - Bruce (hopefully he kicks on after 3 good games...unlike last year though ofcourse there were injuries)
3 - Rivers (I'd have given him 5 but he obviously wasn't good enough to keep Miller out of defence)
2 - McLean (This guy is tough as nails and has the skills too match)
1 - Carroll (If i was offered with 3 goals and only 12 or so touches to Riccuito, I would have taken it in a flash)

5. Bruce - The lads back to his best
4. McLean - Makes a massive difference to the engine room with his grunt
3. Green - Was hard at it today and used the ball when he had it
2. Neitz - Attacked the ball and kicked those "captains" goals when we needed them
1. Pickett - Seems to be slotting in now and had come nice hard hits in there

Also welcome returns from Brown and Rivers who both played well. It's nice to have to think about which good players couldn't fit in the votes than struggle to think of who played good. If we carry that form to next week (won't hold my breath) we should have a win.

5 - Bruce (Very good solid 4-quarter performance)
4 - Green (Got some vital clearances, in the second quarter that got us back in the game)
3 - Mclean (finding form and fitness...if only he didn't fumble in those last precious moments)
2 - Rivers (Great first half, second half was good but with less influence)
1 - White (Was very good at the centre bounces, but little influence around the ground, i think Sammy must be teaching him some tricks, because he seemed a different ruckman to the run and jump tap ruckman. Used some subtle tactics today to nullify the leaps of Clarke and Biglands)

Yze got 17 touches which is kinda his minimum but he actually looked as if he wanted em today. nothing spectacular and i still expect/hope for/want improvement but he earned his spot vs sydney for starters but wasn't in our best today by a long shot

pickett went hard at the ball several times. notice i said ball, not man which is a very good sign.

Pickett will prove to be a very handy acqusition, i'm certain of it. He is not yet over the hill and will prove it in coming weeks.

Yze did go well (That chase down in the middle weas great) and how good was it to see Pickett dive head first at the ball with Burton coming the other way.
We may have lost, but if we play the way we played for 3 quarters yesterday against Sydney we will win.

Okay, can anyone tell me why Jones has a vote this season? I know this leaderboard counts the pre-season games, but how the hell did he score a vote?

Good grief - we are the worst supporters when it comes to biased towards draft picks. Him getting a vote in that game is just further proof of this.

He had 10 touches, 4 tackles and kicked a goal in a game where we managed only 5 for the match.

In fact only 6 players had more touches than him and that included Green and Yze

Point being, he deserved the vote. There was not 5 better players than him in the match.
