I'm not necessarily saying this should happen, and obviously it can't be long term, but what do you guys think about shifting the big fella to the forward 50 and letting him roam a bit for an entire game?

We moved him there against the Crows and, now that he is fit, he actually gave us a real focal point up forward. I know we all want Miller there, and you are all probably right, but at the moment Frosty is way down on confidence, so why not get the captain up there? We can even move Miller to Full Forward alongside Robbo with Flash and Yze/Sylvia etc at their feet.

I know this can't be done long term, but it might give us the shake up we need to get the season going! He knows how to play the role, and he can still beat defenders on the lead and in the air.

Might be an idea, but Miller and Robbo dont look anything too dangerous at the moment, would we be able to kick enough goals?

Should happen by default next week up at Sydney where CHFs are redundent.

In other matches could only work in short bursts.

Isolate him deep this week and leave him one-out as much as possible with Barry like Essendon did to him.
I think it could work just if we changed Miller and Neitz around a bit each game.

Yeah Barry would definitely struggle against Neita one out in the square, Neitz is definitely a lot stronger, not a bad idea, Miller leading out of FF is something we should try out, he started well on Sunday before drifiting out of it a bit, but i dont think Daniher will go for any drastic changes

Sylvia everywhere would be nice.

We need him in the middle, no-one else wants to go get the ball.

Any type of flexability would be nice, I did like the fact that on the weekend we were able to change our structure around a bit, the coaching staff didn't just sit and hope the game came back to them.

How much of this comes down the improved fitness as players work into the season is an interesting question. Have we traded a late season fade out for being left in the blocks? We are on a razors edge here fellow demon supporters and I for one am getting extremely nervous.

Better starting off slow and then improving than do what we did last year.

Im just worried we wont ever get out of the blocks.

Will make an awesome permanent forward in the twilight of his career. Riccuito style.

Until such time, he should be in the middle and nowhere else.

I know hes coming of age but everyone seems to forget that he was All Australian CHB. Maybe plug him back there for a change up. Seeming we are missing a good strong defender. the influx of goals may be an issue though.

What about Neitz on Hall...i know it's robbing peter to pay paul, but i think it can work. This could be tactic if Hall dominates early. In addition, I've always liked the idea of Miller at Full Forward, he is a very strong on the lead and it may help his confidence to kick 3 or 4.

With Carroll and Miller both having beaten Hall in the past few years I'd go with them first.

I agree. Rotate Green, Yze, Robbo & Miller through full forward with Neitz at CHF. Worth a try anywhere on the days where our forward line is not working.

While we're throwing around crazy ideas, how about Dutchy to FB, to take over from Nicho?

Sure, he is just as slow, but he is strong, he never gets outmarked and he has one thing Nicho never had... a footy brain! He can read the play better than most in our side, and was a defender at Richmond.

That would leave Carroll as the third tall, which works out well because lets face it, the boy isn't really talented, and Rivers at CHB. Then you got Whelan, Wheatley and your choice of Brown/Bell/CJ/Pickett/ Yze  /*insert any random player with half a talent who enjoys uncontested possessions*

It's radical, so I'm sure Daniher would never try it. But to me, its better than taking away our best CHF option and throwing him down back (especially since he's a crap defender). Plus it gives you the flexibility of rotating Neita and Miller, from FF* to CHF

*AKA standing next to Robbo and looking pretty :D

Sylvia is the young Riccuito.
The Holland idea isn't bad. He might struggle a bit on the lead, but he would be seriously good 1 on 1. Who could beat those.....cannons
