Can anyone remember why Wayne Jackson retired? Did he get bored of the job? It seems that he was very good in the position.

I wonder how Andrew Demetriou will fare after the St. Kilda vs. Fremantle debacle.

Demetriou. He's more of a traditionalist than either Jackson or the dreadful Oakley was. He also did a fantastic job in securing the AFL's massive new TV rights deal. Under Demetriou we've seen some good rule changes and welcome innovations like coloured umpire uniforms.

He certainly hasn't gotten everything right, but IMO he's the best by a long way.

Definitely Oakley. The only one who had balls to stop propping up clubs and to realise the A in AFL meant Australian, not Victorian. Ironic that his successor was more Vic-centric. I think due a fear of if he did anything that wasn't, he'd be accussed of being a blow in, out to ruin the game.

Jackson! Is this some elaborate practical joke?

Was it true that Wayne Jackson had a heart-attack whilst attending a game when he was CEO?
