According to CFC site! Lappin claims to be 95% fit which would be a real boost for Friday night:thumbsu:
Kennedy set to debut & O'hAilpin to come in.
Although I don't believe Kennedy is quite ready, I am still looking forward to see him in the forward line to take on the Hawks. Maybe it is not all doom & gloom afterall:rolleyes:

The hawks will have to earn it, don't worry about that. Good to see the club being bold and backing in the young forwards. We will stetch them for height at least.

Fisher will play as well.

Come on people dont tickle the nuggets. Do people know this, or is it speculation. Fisher coming in would be awesome.
Kennedy and ohalpin are just what the doctor ordered and if the play well will change the face of the carlton for the rest of the year (MMW's). Forcing other players to paly well above themselves to get a game, lifting the team in general, adding depth and of course rasing the benchmarck for inclusion from the magoos.
I hope the opportunity will be taken by both for what it is acutally worth and pagan dosent do his normal trick of giving them 5 miutes of game time each.

With fish, Lappin, Kennedy, O'Halpin in the team we are good to give em a nidge, but with out FEV we are on the edge.

Still great news.

I hope we go the setanta kennedy option rather than Bryan etc.

Oh yeah, I thought Deluca played alright on the weekend. SO he is picking up his from, with Ohalpin in we will have three really tall agile forwards.
Is Davies eligible ?

true. but could be handy in the forward line with as a smaller crumber with all the talls we have comming in. (dosent deserve it though, and with pagans approach wil HAVE to earn his spot).

davies is crap. wont likely see him in the seniors much at all this seaso. i almost a certainty to be delisted at seasons end. or maybe a team like the roos are stupid enough to trade high for him...come on roos, you know you want to...especially in such a weak draft......

Actually Davies has plenty of talent, highly rated by many at the club and elsewhere, is lacking discipline and perhaps a degree of maturity. Would be a shame to let him go prematurely as being shown up by him at another club would be pox. Is seeing out his suspension and hopefully will deliver on his potential this year. Otherwise yep, he is gone.

I am very excited about the Kennedy / O'hAlpin (probable) inclusions.

Kennedy is ready imo. He had an excellent game in the VFL 2 weeks ago, and with the bye last week was able to rest a slight injury. He has done a lot of work in the pre season which hasnt gone unnoticed like walking the mt buller track a week after his opperation.
This kid has something and i cant wait to see the big #5 roaming the park.

Setanta. He is ripe, ready to stand up this yr and get a regular game in the 1sts. He pace is outstanding and he has a great grab. Could be used as a leading FF out of the square this week. Probably should have played last week to ake pressure off Fevola.

Great to see the fish back. Will be a great inclusion into our depleated forward line.

CHANGES FOR THE HAWKS GAME
In: Fisher, O'hAlpin, Kennedy

The only issue I see with these changes, is that the Hawks would run us silly.

Too many talls with De Luca, McLaren and Saddington still in the side. I think Saddington looked underdone last week, so I'd expect him to make way so another runner could remain in the side.

Whilst I agree neither Sporn or Chambers should be in the side, I think one of them will get another chance this week, purely on team balance.

I was at training yesterday and based on what i saw Lappin will play, Fish will play, Setanta was having plenty of goal kicking practice after training so i would say he is a starter although his kicking for goal was shocking, I am far from convinced that Kennedy will play and to answer the Davies question he wasn't even training with the main group he was running laps with Waite, whether he is injured or he is just being punished i don't know. Fish's kicking for goal was sensational by the way.:thumbsu:

If O'hAilpin plays could he not play CHB and free Lance to play FF. I think that Lance could stretch the Hawks with his smarts out of the square. Also think Setanta is better suited to running straight ahead. He seems to struggle with balance up forward. Would also give pace to the backline.

I reckon Setanta could only play two roles...full forward...using his pace out of the square so he is close enough to kick some. If he played back, I would be worried his lack of judgment would be exploited as would his skills in getting the ball out of the backline effectively. The other role I can see him playing is a tagger on a mobile ruckman like Goodes.

I say bring back Livo if they want to play Lance forward...but that pretty risk given Lance holds the whole backline together, but it at least gives us the option. Might just be better playing DeLuca out of the square and hoping for a mismatch.

In: Fisher, Kennedy
Out: Fev, Chambers

A bit suspicious...if they brought in Kennedy and Setanta they would need to drop De Luca you would think. Not sure if they would go with Setanta over DeLuca at this stage...both rely on being tall and quick to get the ball and are probably only suited to playing in the forward line.

Setanta is a hard man and not a show pony. Doubt whether criticisms of his performance good or bad will affect his morale..if anything, he'll use it as an incentive to come back stronger.

well done carlton supporters keep up the postive thinking, after all your team does suck and you have no future but if the supporters stay then maybe you might only have a small debt in the next 20 or so yrs.
Keep up the good work and remember when your team gets smashed and believe me they will remember theirs always another team who needs you support so why not cross over to a good side.
have a good one.

Serious?

Essendon have won 16 premierships. They've won the most games in the last 10 years. They haven't won the spoon since the 30s. And worst of all, they're on the upper tier of clubs financially.

Hence, he's just received the maximum punishment Bigfooty can give.

While my cousin has been just recentley delisted and played 8 or so seasons with your mob i can honestly say that ive never liked you blokes ;) . Anyhow i wish your mob all the best tonight and hope you have no injuries.

I cant see us getting beaten and if we are to be any good what so ever or even try and be competetive we need to beat the poor sides and right now Carlton is a poor side. You blokes have been mega successfull for so long now that it must be hurting more so than others that you have been at the opposite end of the ladder for the last few years.

My team has been just as pathetic but finnally it seems as though they have pulled there finger out of there bums and are starting to play some descent footy.
I hate Carlton but i hate Richmond,Collingwood,Adelaide and Essendon more and i wish you blokes every piece of luck against those ferals.

Good work anyhow, you blokes seem to find more positives than negatives on this board and thats to be congratulated, at least you dont turn on your own as bad as the Doggies supporters do when they get beaten, they are the true feral type of supporter roaming around.

Have fun lads and keep supporting :thumbsu: .

Not tonight.

In - Fisher, O'Hailpin, Russell
Out - Fevola, Chambers, Sporn

Unless we have some more injuries, I doubt we'll see Chambers and Sporn again this year, if ever.

Would really like to see Blackwell given a chance at AFL level!!
