Hi guys,

The strong word is that Bate may play. Anyone have any updates or news?

Cheers,

Chris.

Put it this way, if Bate doesn't get a game after BOG performances for two weeks in a row, and yet Godfrey and Ward can crack a game.... well.....
Daniher has officially lost the plot.

A bit biased there Allstar. He wasnt even named in the best players last week.

No bias there at all.

If you read some of the other threads, you will see that Bate was in fact the best Demons player for Sandy two weeks running.
The knobs in the paper know very little, and you should listen to people who actually saw the game and know what they are talking about.

Bate was magnificant with his ball-magnitism, disposal and marking the last two weeks. Godders just went (and by that I mean he still can't kick!).

Where is the justice in that?

UN****ING BELIEVABLE.

Sack Daniher now. Godfrey gets a game ahead of Bate? Where is the justice?

Why the hell are we playing 2 taggers?

I'm shocked. Actually, on second thought, not really, because we know we have good ol' Neale at the helm.

Interesting decision to say the least - I think they are looking for hardness and ball winning ability, and we know that while Godders isn't the most polished player, he gives you everything he's got.

Bate is stiff, but there will be plenty more chances in the coming year. Will probably crack it for a game on the G next week.

Not sure if my memory serves me correctly, but did Godfrey play well at the SCG against them last year? For some reason I have a feeling that he did.

Maybe what they're trying to do is match it with Sydney - in toughness that is, certainly not polish.

Yep he played really well, as he did against the Crows in the game after i think at the 'G. Almost BOG that day.

Oh good reasoning, almost as good as playing Miller in the backline because he did a half decent job on Hall once.

Bate gets plenty of his own ball.... Godders is neither a ball magnet, nor a good user of the footy. And when was the last time he successfully tagged someone?

Pathetic. Simply and utterly pathetic.

Sorry if that sounds like I'm attacking you, I'm not. But my fraustration has reached new and unimaginable levels. :(

I agree, Bate really deserved a crack at the big time. He must be wondering what he has to do.
The thing is if he has an average game for Sandy this week he'll be back to square one. Hope he gets another BOG.

Did you see anywhere in my post where I actually said that I was glad that he was in, and then justify it with my thoughts? No, I simply said that I remember him playing well last year.

Never said you did, I just used what you said about his game last year as Daniher's reasoning. Like I said, my anger came across as an attack on you, but it wasn't meant to be. I'm just ********ed off
As usual, his reasoning is crap and so are we.

If we lose tomorrow, we're last on the ladder. Even friggin Richmond can win a game.

Losing to the Doggies and Adelaide can be expected, but bloody Carlton, how the ******** did we lose that?
