Nah sorry didn't hear the report after match, I was on the phone.
Cameron Thurley was supposedly pretty good from a couple of the mentions during the live crosses, but other than that, couldn't help you sorry.

I'll try and grab a copy of the Mercury, and post their bests and goals, and other info there.

Frankston got off to a good start and led by 16 points at Quarter Time. It was pretty even for the 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd quarter before Tasmania then booted 6 goals in 10 minutes to break the game open and lead by 16 points at half time. Despite some big efforts from the dolphins the devils held on to a 24 point win.

Went along last night, disappointed at the lack of crowd. It seems us Northern Tasmanians have becomed a little spoilt with the AFL games and wont support the Devils as much. But me, Ill get to any game under lights!
Anyway, the Roos players really stood out for us, but apart from Atkin and Callinan, didnt really notice any great performances from the Tassie Tassie Devils. But a win is a win

:D No wonder the Mercury, WIN & Southern Cross kept very quiet about the crowd numbers.
No doubt Wadey will be attacking the Northern footballing public for failing to support the Devils and concentrating too much on the local football, and will be wanting every game played at Bellerive now.
Just out of interest, was it particularly cold in the North yesterday?
NTFL had three games on yesterday: Wynyard & Burnie at Wynyard had only 485, Latrobe & Launceston at Latrobe had only 410, and Penguin & Smithton had 761.
Still, they would've easily beaten the SFL numbers from yesterday.

how did Matty coach? Did he make many changes with mids forwards etc? Did the north blokes have limited game time? Can the devils challenge for the premiership. How was there game plan? Did they set up well? Hope they do for Mattys sake and hopefully he can make the AFL.

That seems to be the common thread of why AFL Tasmania throws money hand over fist at this program, and would prefer to p_ss 121 years of TFL tradition down the drain rather than concentrate on building the game properly from the bottom up to make the sport stronger at all levels in the state.
Very professional and intelligent coach is Armstrong, I just wish they wouldn't hijack such a great sporting tradition to achieve further ambition for him and a select few others.
