Not many people have touched on this but it is most likely the great 1 James Hirds last ANZAC day game.
I am expecting an Essendon demolishion but I hope they can prove me wrong. I want to see a close match.

Licuria what a f**king, cheating hack!
Played for the 50 agaisnt Solomon. Solomon was late (and I agree the 50 was partly there in principle), but the conciously made 180 degree turn before hitting the ground to highlight the impact was a disgrace!
Then when the 1/4 time siren went a team mate bumped a Ess player into him lining up for goal and went to ground as if his legs were jelly.
What a tool.

Tarrant & Rocca are not exactly setting the world on fire. Consistency hasn't ever really been their strongest suit. Rocca's had chances but is having a dirty day so far. Taz looked like he'd cracked the sads in the first quarter already! But, I think the Woods are starting to get the upper hand around the ground, whereas in the first quarter Ess were clearly blitzing. Pies've been missing easy enough chances while Essendon have landed a few cheap & easy scrappy goals. Heath Shaw is a very good kick. Thomas looks good whenever he gets the ball. Result is obviously up in the air.

true enough.
It's frustrating enough when your ruckman has a clear tap out & it goes straight to the opposition rover, but when it goes to the opposition ruckman!!! Just gotta laugh I guess.
It's getting close now. If it becomes a free flowing game now, then I'll get confident on the pies again.

I'm listening to the game on the radio and unfortunately it's way too much Rex on 3AW today. You'd think out of respect on ANZAC Day Rex could keep his freaking mouth shut...but NO!
One question...what is Rex's love of the expression "8 8 56 Brother"? I've heard him say this crap before & after a few years I still don't know what it means or why he does it. He also loves to yell "Wagon's Ho!" a lot but I think I understand what that one means. Of course there's the "Lord Nelson" reference to look forward to if someone gets to 11-11.
Why do people like this guy? He was sh*t most years when he played for the Tigers, all years with the Cats, and forever with 3AW!
