The ANZAC Day Medallist and Collingwood half-back, also the newest man with a new nickname, Ben 'Craig' Johnson had an outstanding match on a revamped MCG with more than 91,000 screaming fans over the fence. Johnson had 19 kicks, 11 handballs to equal 30 disposals, 10 marks and 8 inside 50's in a great performance that keeps him as the AFL's leading kick getter and equal 3rd in the BigFooty Medal after 4 rounds.

BigFooty Emerging Star Nominee

Heath Shaw - Collingwood

The younger brother of Rhyce and son of Ray and nephew of Tony, the big Shaw family has been delighted with Heath's performance's and he is growing and improving each week. Heath came into the side in round 2 as a late inclusion after having 30 touches in wet and muddy conditions less than 24 hours before in the VFL. He had 16 touches and since then has stepped up gradually. On ANZAC Day, Heath had 21 kicks and 15 marks, mostly as a loose man but held reigning medallist Andrew Lovett to an undamaging performance. He is the second Pies player to be nominated this season.

Rnd 1 - Dale Thomas (COLL)
Rnd 2 - Matt Rosa (WCE)
Rnd 3 - Marc Murphy (CARL)
Rnd 4 - Heath Shaw (COLL)

Great work as always Lonie, but come on - Luke Hodge is number 2 overall yet he still doesn't get a mention in 'Player of the Week'?

1,3 and 4 have but not 2. :p

Hes too consistent.

Yeah, Hodgey has been too consistent that there is 1 player who just gets over the line :p

There is no doubt he will get it. I am attempting to having 22 individual players in getting the POTW, so BJ is a good candidate considering there is a strong chance he may never have the opportunity. Hodge one day when he gets a BOG :thumbsu:
