While my opinion of North Footscray might be slightly biased (probably alot more than slightly) I feel that they will do alright. Most of the list shouldn't that much different from last seasons, and with the addidition of a few decent players I don't think the 18s should be written off.

cassidy isnt that good and is very doubtfull to play!.. wood has been putting in a massive preseason and is looking fantastic not to mention has finally found his brain and isnt such a 'spacehead'.. orchard well logitech that is stupid cut the kid some slack he can play and has proven so on more occaisions that i can remember!... saying no cal ward no spotty ford_dealer is just stupidity come on post you know that isnt true!.. dumbleton has gone to spotty and is a massive plus and christian elliot has returned also!

While North may not have any players in Jets I think they make up in endeavour. They did make the grand final 2 years in a row despite losing a good portion of some of their top players after the first one. They fought tooth and nail to get to the finals to only run out of energy in the dying minutes of the gf.

Say what you want about North but they should be a very determined bunch this season. I'm not trying to hype them, its not even round 1 yet. But just don't count them out when a game hasn't even been played yet.

reasons for having rafferety in top 10 is dominates the ruck like to play up forward and usually kicks a bag and wen the side need him to can get chucked into the backline and take control of the game at centre half back not many junior players got that ability and is something every side

rafferty, top bloke and can certainly play.. but if you throw him in there you'd have to throw brendan read, exactly the same sort of players and readie has already proven himself at under 18 level as a 16yr old last year, claiming scalps such as keeping james stevens too less than a few kicks and johno roberts goal less in a semi final also is a mighty effort!.. I'd have to slightley agree with logitech about pacey, size could kill him this year, very talented kid with fnatastic pace and skill poor kid just cant grow!

baker im not to suree.. pags is in same boat as pacey with size..but has great skills...dumbo defintly should b down at the jets and will b too fast for alot of players this year.. ward will get games at jets.. very good playerr andd has grown an awful lot! sherlock is fighting injury often..

anyone know what is wrong with sherlock??.. ward has grown heaps and has been in the gym.... snow is underated, not the quickest bloke on the field but certainly more than a smart footballer and a top bloke as well!!.. mather well should have been playing jets last year what a joke, is training really strongly down at werribee and hopefully has a big year.. orchard has been unlucky can certainly play just a bit short is seemingly the problem!

bloomfield is a super footballer, i didnt know he was back down at jets? Phillips, im guessing your talking about william? is said to be playing at spotswood but i dont think has been down doing preseason he is a toss of a coin to play most likely

colts i imagine will be in A's, they always have a side in the A's in 18's and surprise a few sides when they turn it on and caused many upsets last year!!... i have heard that about werribee also, big gutsy move by bloomfield also, i mean fantastic footballer but will no doubt cop a fair bit a crap next year!......

From st.albans will be salamon coming up from the 16s, big frame on him and played a few 18s games last year and did quite well.. wouldnt expect a super season but hopefully he does the job

tim dusink by far the best ruckman in the comp.. can also play CHB/F and a whole range of positions, has got good skills also.. Makes a massive difference to willi and will give the league b'n'f a massive run for its money!

chippa, rather see him play CHB plays his best footy there.. wont be as dominent if he plays in the ruck.. altona need wapshott down to allow chippa to mop up down back

spotswood lacking massively in height and ready is the only ruckman they have to date!

hoppers need king to play quite desperately, would be there number 1 ruckman and when resting would rest down forward and giles would ruck.. only bloke who could match up on him is dusink!

hard as on baller, cant do a job and can play anywhere on the ground.. is as disiplined as it gets, countless amount of times i've seen him back back into packs with no fear at all and put his head over the pill!.. tough as nails has also got good skills and a nice pair of hands!

Lets be honest... is there any way we can block and delete logitech on this ... he is a absolute ******** that couldnt get a kick in under 8's.. he hides behind his computer and thinks he knows everyone because he reads there names in the newspaper or hears what other people say about them.. chippa does seem to drink alot ... but good on him because he seems to get away with it. last time i remember playin on him he ran amok and talking about hard men... i dont think i have ever seen anyone harder than brett shiels... michael (butch) cassidy has seemed to lost interest in football which is a shame cause he can play... on other topics alot of people have said bad things about shaydon bloomfield, but i bet half of you dont even know him and just because he got caught up with that ******** and made one mistake doesnt change him ... he is a ripper bloke and at times a freakish footballer... in finishing logitechs a w*nker... peace

Yeh I've heard reli good things bout shiels and from what i seen hes only baqkced that up.
Greeny is just freakish the way he puts his body on the line, he wuld probs be the toughest player in the comp IMO, but i havent seen everyone enuf to judge.
I think that Hardiman will win the league BnF, comfortably aswell!!

Green and Richards wont come close to winning League BnF because Greeny is only playing first half of year and Richards (aka me) wont be playing till June most likely, but i'll be doing everything to try and get back earlier.

I wuldnt put tedesco in the toughest group of players in the league cose i guess as Maddy said, i define toughness in a different way, but he wuld def be up there with the best who can lay a solid hit of tackle.

Culdnt go past dusink as best ruckman, just a gun and am surprised to hear so many people not rating Cassidy, hes a good footballer.

the bloke from st albans he was talking abit is bruno salamon use to play b's down at altona few yrs back, no good

leading goal kicker will b maddison by a mile, ur right wit pacey always finishs wit a good total and so does trent lee and ahmed houli

and trav put everything u have in one post its easier to read that way

what about some of the rivalries between teams and then departing players?
interesting to see the williamstown altona match should be a bit heated
a williamstown spotswood match should always be a tuff match

ne others you could think of?

i dont really think there will be any more heat than any other tuff game when willy play altona i can only speak for myself but the boys have been stacks nice to me over this all i still speak to a few of them now n then

spotswood vs. williamstown is always heated and feral... hoppers vs. werribee would be the same.. there the only real rivals in juniour footy as they are the main 4 teams!

everyone wants to beat werribee cause they have been dominant in recent years, was like how everyone hated spotty in the basha houli days and the older sides they used to have which never seemed to loose.... you know how good chooka is once you play with him which is why so many dont rate him, but spotty and willy boys do!

sides such as altona and co dont have rivals, not untill seniours start when you have big rivalries such as port spotty, hoppers port which is a massive one and etc!

i wuldnt say spotty and willy is in same league in terms of rivalry as werribee and hoppers but is still always a very big game, as are the Werribee and Willy games. Werribee was always the team i wanted to beat the most, which made the GF last year oh so much better!!

Amd chicken elliot, ********ing underated footy player, lifted heaps in finals series last year, probs our best player through out the finals series last year!

chicken head was easily willys best throughout the finals last year and close to bog on granny day i thought aswell yeah extremely underated top footballer jus a magnet knows where it is and always seems ta get it

yeh i agree habits and will be the game to watch this year aswell!!
werribe have a gun midfield and decent talls,they wont be easy for altona to beat by any means.
