Willi and Hoppers to win. Willi by about 4-5 goals and Hoppers easy winners over a depleted Colts side.

This week willie will likely be without jets players including nick geogiadis and james stephens. But james stephens is a very overrated player who cant get a kick against spotty. Expect this game to be very tight which i think a kick will decide this game but i think the win against a full strength hoppers team last week gives spotty confidence which i expect then to take into the game against willie. Spotty will win. Hoppers Port game should be another close one, id expect port to beat hoppers if they were at full strength but hoppers may just get over the line. I would like port to win because they deserve to because hoppers have talked themselves up all year and produced nothing.

Tips
Spotty to beat willie by a goal
Hoppers to beat port by 2 goals

I must be reading a different website. All I've read is Colts boys talk themselves up until 4 weeks ago on this particuliar site until they got thumped by Hoppers. Then Micka Morris posted a no excuses messages if they lost and to the Colts Boys credit, they have been a bit quieter.

I think the Colts boys are playing mind games with injuries to their key players.

Shannon Franklin suspended (again). Hope it wasn't for hitting a teammate again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol:cool:

I'm sticking with my pre-season tip. Werribee in the GF by a fair margin:thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Mind games from the colts... i thought that as well until i went down to training last night and just got off the phone to a very prominent colts man.... word is that perkins has injured his shoulder and will definately not play.... tough task for the colts this week... but i'm sure that the colts will get over the line and beat those hoppers dogs!

Both played, shows Colts were just talking cr@p.

I think i am a fair poster on here, calling it as i see it and giving credit where credit's due, but today was a disgrace from the Colts. They resorted to cheap shots when the game was all but lost, I might be nabbed a "dobber" but i seriously don't care, they deserve to be scrutinised with what low acts they performed. Bellingham and Snow. Bellingham took a swing at one of our players after he missed a tackle, then went on to take a swing at others who came in. Snow has a bad reputation anyways, kicked a player in the head in round 2 who had to get stitches and then today he proceeded with blows to the mid-drift of our players. I have been holding back long enough, not knowing the extent of the criticism the Colts get for they way they play, but after everytime we play them it seems they just pull something out of the hat for us and now I have conceeded that yes, they are a dirty side.

Well it looks like the Colts are out this season, have a nice holiday boys.

On ourselves we didn't play good footy at all, we turned it on in the 2nd qtr and that was about it, must lift for next weekend.

scum for informing people of how the Colts went about it?

people now will at least know you Colts are dirty so called "footballers" who resort to throwing punches when you can't win a game of footy, just shows that you guys are throing in the towell and have no heart.

Port Melbourne under 18's is a very average football side, the Colts posters on here talk them up like they are these superstars that are about to turn it on. Truth be told, you's aren't much chop at all.

What a deadset whinger you are. Wouldn't want a bloke like you playing at the colts, and just wondering why you aren't out with your hoppers mates celebrating your win instead of getting on this website lagging blokes for being hard at the footy (something that the Hoppers boys aren't) - you may be skillful but your soft..you'll be found out.

Whoever is complaining on here, its just stupid. A few hits is, always has been and always will be part of the Western region Footy League. Its just what happens in this league, i guess it lives up to the Western Suburbs stereotype, and if you cant cop it, then change teams and play in a different league where the footy isnt as hard and physical. I'll admit I dont like when punches are thrown, or cheap hits are given, but thats the footy thats played out this way, so deal with it, its never going to change.

Anyways, good win to Hoppers, do they stand a chance next week? and who were the better players? anyone important from either side get shut down?

Kanga you little hoppers cat, maybe you should go and play mixed netball next year. You sound like you would be to soft to play seniors so i hope for your sake you have another year in the 18s. I know Snow and there is no way he would kick a player in the head on purpose. If he did im sure you would lag and your club would take the matter to the tribunal. Wake up to yourself buddy!

Yer i was at the Spotty Wilie game. Spotty were ahead all day dominating posetion. In the final minute, the full back kicked out, the spotty player slipped over and the willie player took the mark and chipped to this teamate 30 metres out stright in front and dobbed it. Ball was bounced with 20 secs to go and willie won the game. Spotswood deserve to have another crack at werribee. Williamstown will get flogged by werribee by 10 goals this week no doubt

Wrap up:
At season's end, We said goodbye to Albion who struggled all year, St Albans who had a poor/avarage side all year be competitive until the full list came in the last two games losing to werribee by just 9 goals and beating Willi, Altona who could have been better but just didn't have a good team bond all year.

Hoppers closed Port Melbourne's door last week with a lazy 8 goal win.

Which leaves us with Werribee who play Williamstown for a grand final spot, and Hoppers and Spotty fighting to stay alive.

4 teams, only one premier, and this year at the start Willi looked to be favourite, until losing to werribee twice, spotty once and even to St Albans. Werribee has been the leauge favourite for majority of the season now and the grand final spot is definitily there for them. Which other team will be there??

Williamstown
Should be there, finishing second but anything can happen, a very unpredictable side, depending on the day they could win or lose to anyone.

Spotty
Had a very good season with the list they have, underrated and with a good coach the boys could make the final if they can win the next two games.

Hoppers
Upsetted Willi, and have showed promise all year, most people believe are the underdog team of the leauge and could even beat Werribee if they are all switched on, on the day.

With the last week of the Tac cup, the jets boys for Willi who have qualified for finals will be there next week if they lose against werribee.
Cullum Richards, Finlay Adamson, James Stephens and Nick Georgiartos.

So my tips this week
Werribee over Williamstown by 45 Points.
Hoppers Over Spotty in a very close scrappy game, by 4 Points.

So in my books, spotty have been unlucky to be dropped out in straight sets losing both games by under a goal.

Week 3.
Hoppers V Willi
If the jets made the finals, the Hoppers boys would probably go into this game as favourites but seeing they ain't a good side Willi should have a strong team in and will win by 2 goals.

Grand Final
Werribee V Willi - 16th September Whitten Oval.
Be there to see this game, I've already got these two clubs booked in unless an upset can occur. As I said both Spotty and Hoppers are Very capable to knock them off.

And you all wonder why your hated.

On the Colts l would like to congratulate you all on a Super season, to all the boys and the coaching staff Bull the great man its made the club a better place this year with the involvement of the 18's and l think Kanga the little jack said we were no good but l remember one game l came to this year and we won by a small margin against Coppers Crossing so we weren't to bad for a team that came up from B grade and we had the leading goal kicker in our side so somethings going well down there, any WELL DONE BOYS

You clearly weren't at the Colts V Werribee game earlier this season wen four players eye gouged a colts bloke, or maybe you were and just shattered cos your team has no ticker!!! There was another person who commented on Werribee eye gouging an Altona player earlier this season aswell... Clearly they are the dirtiest team in the league atm, who resort to eye gouging players and then becoming informants to the league when someone has a dip at them!!! Westacott and Butty should be in there but seems like a good top 10.

How about Altona, Port Colts, Albion and St Albans top 10's...just for the fun of it. Colts did make the finals.

This weeks matches..

Werribee vs Willi.-Werribee will be too strong for Willi (6 goals), though at the moment i tip these 2 sides for the grand final.

Spotswood vs Hoppers.-Should be a very close game but i think spotty had to win last week. Ill say hoppers by (7 points).

The fact that Hoppers didnt tag some of Willi's players stuns me cose a few just simply destroyed Hoppers. Werribee will rip Williamstown in half.
Hoppers played there worst game of the year last week, absoulutly dreadful and willi only managed to get up by 6 goals.

James stephens hacked at the ball all day.. he doesnt have what it takes to win the game.. cullum was good.. johnno roberts is overrated cant take a contested grab.. werribee will have a too strong midfield, too strong forward line and too strong backline

they are the higest scoring team in the league and have had the least points scored against.

the highest score against werribee this year was 85, werribees lowest score was 81

that was the match werribee lost to willi i believe..

but yer.. too many skilled players.. the whole list is good

as i said hoppers should of been there but wernt switched on on the day...

werribee by 50 points.

everyone get down to probably solgiers or chirnside after the game!

This is the under 18 A team of the year - are you sure there are B grade players? This was in the weekend's record. I think Bull Perkins should have got coach of the year.

I know of 10 B graders in there .. Henderson i think shouldve started on the ground probly the fastest bloke in the comp much like an aaron davey.

No offence but thats a load of crap. If Willi hadnt given away 5 50m in the last quarter they wulda won by a hell of a lot more. The reason Hoppers didnt play well was because Willi were all over them all day. I'm not saying Hoppers were newhere near their best, but Willi were simply too good, and besides one game when Willi were alot weaker, Willi have had it all over Hoppers. Johno Roberts took quite a few contested marks this week so i dont no wat game u were watching.
Willi are a big show this week, shuld be a ripper game

Congratulations to Willy on winning the flag, no disrespect to Willy but did Werribee turn up for the game or were they already at the victory celebrations, as they have been telling every one on big footy that they were going to show all their critics on Grand Final day who the best team in the comp was, they forgot to let us all in on the best kept secret in footy, that Werribee are chokers and Willy are the best team in the under 18s comp

I am a colts supporter thru and thru but was wrapt that you guys beat Werribee. I think most Colts supporters would have wanted Willy to beat Hoppers and Werribee, they talked the talk but in the end couldn't walk the walk hey! And then our Seniors knocked off Hoppers in a thriller - what a great day! Shame Spotty couldn't give us all the trifecta.

Funny that you have a go at Cody for trash talking and thats what your doing here Kanga be happy with your reserves GF cause thats all you got on the weekend ha ha

On another note, while driving to the ground on Sat l noticed the Willi players coming out and seen medals around there necks and was rapted it was a start to a great day and like someone else mentioned it would have been better if Spotty got up too.

Altona's under 16 side won the 16 a's and dominated all year , about 95% of that team will come up to 18's in 2007. They should be a good side and finish top 3.

Expect the usual contenders Hoppers and Werribee to be right up there aswell.

What teams are going to be in A grade?

Werribee-Williamstown-Spotswood-Altona-Hoppers Crossing- Port Colts-Albion?-St Albans- who else? If any?

according to scources at the WRFL:
A DIVISION 2007:
Werribee
Hoppers Crossing
Williamstown
Altona
St. Albans
Port Melbourne Colts
Albion
Spotswood
North Footscray
Albanvale

B DIVISION
Wyndhamvale
Hoppers Crossing
Werribee
Williamstown
Flemington
West Footscray/Sunshine
Sunshine Heights
Western Magpies
Point Cook
Caroline Springs

This is what i have heard from good friends that work with the league and/or know people that would know this information. There are some interesting notes on both divisions

WRFL wants 10 teams in each competition
Point Cook and Caroline Springs will enter the U/18 competition for the first time
Deer Park may be added to B division if a team can be made. Same applies for the unlikely clubs of Glenorden and Braybrook
WRFL wanted both B div grand finalists in A div in 2007
Wyndhamvale will be apart of Wyndhamvale Falcons instead of Wyndhamvale Juniors
There is a small chance of a Wyndhamvale Gold and Wyndhamvale Green team. If this is the case it is likely one team would be moved to A div.
The WRFL plans to have the wooden spooner of A div to move down to B div whilst the Premier of B moves up to A div.

It all depends who gets called to jets next year.

Werribee may have a few blokes down there, that werent down there this year.
Adam Alifraco, Matthew Taylor etc. Tayles unlucky to get cut last year, and chadda hasnt had a shot

Hoppers will have nothin and will struggle, same with Spotswood.

Willy should be flag favourites again, as most the blokes who won it this year still have another 2 years even.

Apparently, Altona have about 10 players for preseason at jets, Willy have about 5, Spotswood have about 3 and Werribee should have about 10-12 (excluding priz, black n banner who most likely wont pull on a werribee guernsey again)
