View Full Version : Bichel replaces MacGill for the Boxing day test.
well, now its clear that Bichel may be included in the first XI in place for Lee, i think this test is the best chance for Bichel.
I believe MacGill would be back for the Sydney test.
Just a case of changing the waiter. If they were ever going to drop a batsman they would have done it in Adelaide.
Dropping Lee now would be a mistake. He stuffed up in Adelaide and he'd know it. They'll give him another go to redeem himself so Bichel will be 12th again.
MacGill may get a game in Sydney though. By the sounds of things it's still a traditional Sydney turner up there.

Bichel took five in the Boxing Day test last year didn't he? Admitedly that was only against the West Indies but he did bowl pretty well. I'd like to see him in the team but I can't see it happening.

I don't see Lee being dropped for the Boxing Day test, more of a wake up call to him (The selectors are basically saying to him 'Bichel is next in line for your spot mate!)
I hope that MacGill gets a chance to be selected for the 3rd test - usually does very well in Sydney.

Theside will stay the same, it's just Bichel will be handing over the Gatorade at drinks.
