Great win,

5. Yze (4 Goals and 20 odd possesions, much better up forward)
4. Pickett (wow, simply brilliant)
3. Bruce (Keeping his form, good captains performance
2. Davey ( 3 goals, all with a touch of class)
1. McDonald (Battled hard and kicked the winner)

Whelan, Carroll and Bate unlucky to miss.

5 - Pickett (I knew he was once good, but I never thought he would be THIS good at the Dees. Great player)
4 - Davey (He and Pickett were our only spark for much of the game)
3 - Bruce (Keep it up son!)
2 - Yze (Proved he should never be moved away from the forward line)
1 - White (Has been rubbish in the ruck lately and started poorly today. THE reason we got back in it winning about 6-7 hitouts in a row in the last quarter)

I agree with White, he was a key in that last quarter but he was complete rubbish in the first half.

Great team effort again, should have by more if it wasn't for a lacklustre third quarter, shows what happens when we're slightly off our game. Very impressed by Bate's debut, Bartram is improving with every game, and Pickett is just dominating. Leading the way.

No doubt he was absolutely **** in the first half, but those 10 minutes or so (although most were against Petrie who is crap) were the best 10 minutes he has played in months.

Holland for the tip. I've defended him in the past but when he dropped that mark I almost jumped over the railing.

5 - Davey (Won us the game)
4 - Pickett (This guy is still special)
3 - Bruce (Dissapointed with his 2 misses at goal but he was very solid all day)
2 - Yze (Best game for the year, much suited to the forward line)
1 - Whelan (Very confident, played very well)

I wanted to be struck by lightening at that very moment.

Even Godders did better with that mark in the last quarter.

Pickett is awesome! :D

Bate????? Good for a debut but certainly not in the top 5.

5- Byron- How good was he?
4- Davey- Great when he was really needed
3- Yze- Was excellent. Did anyone else see him getting stuck into Sinclair? that was great viewing.
2- Bruce- another solid performance. odds for Brownlow shortening
1- Junior Burger- tried hard all day and a great goal to end it.

I for one thought it was fitting Macca kicked the winner, he is underrated and deserves to be in the limelight for once.

Totally agree. Due to the fact he doesn't play the type of footy which gets you Brownlow votes he is often forgotten. He is very solid for us, you know he'll always give everything and play a decent game. It was fitting to see him get that goal.

That was great. I have seen Yze wrestle plenty of times but it was nice to see him win one for a change. :thumbsu:

3 - Yze

Bate impressive on debut. 11 touches, 5 marks, 4 tackles and a goal. Can't ask for much more.

Thought Carroll was very good, only played on Thompson for basically the last quarter and a half and kept him as quiet as he possibly could.

Godders was HORRIBLE, missed two disputed balls in the middle in the last quarter that almost cost us.

Nice to see Macca kick the winner, and a small mention to Bartram - love the way he goes about his football!
