There. This one has a cricket relevant topic.
if you want to bag gunnar what you should do is create a cricket sledges thread and post all of his sledges from the cricket board.
BAM! :D

I like!
But then I'll be told that it's taking a direct stab at someone, so that'll be canned too.

I can't wait until Donhi plays Australia so we can see how good he really is.

I think at home he will play well, but in Australia will be a different matter all together.

He is my favourite batsmen lol. Imagine Virender Sehwag with less footwork but one of the best "eyes" in the game IMO.
Fantastic to watch. :thumbsu: :)

Whats that statement based on?
He has done pretty well against all opposition so far at the grounds he has played at. There is no reason to suggest he wouldn't do the same outside India.

The fact that he hasnt played away from the Sub-Continent yet in any form of the game (IIRC), so we are yet to see him away from the Sub-Continent, Australia are clearly the Best ODI team in the world and to score consistent runs against them, while having rarely played away from the tiny grounds in the sub-continent will be a fair effort.

He has played in Africa, against Zimbabwe. But yes. India tends to be a team that don't travel well at all. He'll have to buck the trend.

Time will tell.

I could see myself getting banned for doing far less than what others have got away with, so yeah, I'll be careful.

Sounds like Herschelle Gibbs
Actually it sounds an awful lot like Virender Sehwag too.

Same here, I've seen a few innings of his and he is an exhilirating player to watch, has got a tremendous eye, quite unorthodox technique though. I'm sure he'll do well here. Looking forward to India coming here in late 2007/early 2008 (I think it is).

You mean Andrew Symonds. :thumbsu:

A one-day specialist?
A one-day specialist?
Nope, destroyer of attacks.

Dhoni averages 36.61 in Test cricket from 9 matches, with one century, all in the sub continent.
In Test cricket, he is at best the destroyer of one attack, one time.
But he has potential, right?

Funny. We're talking about Dhoni in relation to ODI (seeing as thats what the thread is about). Then again, Michael Clarke averages 36.22 from 22 matches with 2 centures, one in India, one in Australia.
But then again, he too has potential yes?

Well you said he wasn't a one day specialist, so I presented some figures to see what you'd say.
Similar average to Clarke, but I wouldn't call him a destroyer of attacks either.
