My girlfriend just got her Essendon membership in the mail, and I was very interested to see that they also sent her the option to buy a t-shirt which says:
"I barrack for Essendon......."
on the front
".....and anyone that is playing Carlton".
on the back.
This confirms once and for all that Essendon are far more Carlton conscious than Carlton are Essendon conscious.:) ;)
What about the other ones they have available?
Like this one:
"I barrack for Carlton......."
".....and anyone that is playing Collingwood".
Maybe you should research your posts first if you are looking for a bite. ;)

I dunno who you mean by 'they' is. I presume that the essendonfc merchandising dept. don't make the Carlton t-shirt that you described.
Anyway, on the order form it made no mention of any alternatives whatsoever. It only says....."and anyone that is playing Carlton."

Goon??? What the hell have I done?? Your first post was VERY unclear as to who you meant by 'they' (ie. you didn't say who you meant).
How am I meant to know if they are official AFL t-shirts or not? I've never seen them in my life, I didn't have a clue that they were made by other clubs. Anyway, Carlton certainly don't send out order forms with our memberships.

She's coming to indoor tonight again....I hear you're not:( - but I hope you get lucky at the Xmas party;)
We will just forget the thousands of Carltonfans cheering at the fact that Essendon couldn't win the flag in '99. The fact that their own club didn't win the Granny was of no concern. The Bombers didn't win, so they were content.
Still,..... where can I get one of those shirts? :D
I really don't care what they think of us, but, am always amused by Carlton folk's needs to keep reminding us that we're "obsessed" with 'em. Idiotic threads like this one prove, that, really, they are the obsessed ones, not us.

Wally, this thread was tongue in cheek. It was just a bit of an answer to Dan's 'theory' that Carlton not caring about winning flags themselves, and that they only care about beating Essendon (see his post in this thread). Which is obviously rubbish.

Had a look and an occasional lurk before and registered a couple of months ago, but time to get the post tally up and running. As the profile tells you, I'm an Essendon fanatic (is there any other type of Essendon supporter?) and live in Sydney.

The information about the shirt came on a pamphlet with membership renewals. You can order it on the Bombers website though. In the bombershop they have a section on the right hand side that says "specials" and it's called the fanatic t-shirt.
