Has the rapid improvement of Bangladesh seen them overtake the West indies in world cricket?
I believe we are now on level terms with them and look forward to qualifying for the champions trophy.
Also we are catching Sri Lanka, if it wasn't for Murali i believe we are also on level terms with them, but Murali is awesome.

Another rediculas thread. West Indies would sh1t all over Bangladesh. If McGrath was in the test team Australia wouldhave won by alot more aswell.

Bangladesh is and always will be the worst except with Kenya obviously :D

I think it would be a lot closer than many would think. Windies are in trouble and are struggling to beat Zimbabwe (as comfortable as the margins have been, the performances have been poor) and Bangladesh are a bowler or 2 and some disclipline (sp?) in the batting away from being a decent team.

I'd say the bangers are better than Zimbabwe, but thats about it at the moment.

WI have some fantastic cricketers the problem being they dont seem to have any heart Just think about 4of the top 5
Gayle
Sarwan
Lara
Chanderpaul
Thats a top order to match any yet they consistently underacheive
Bangladesh have been consistently getting stronger and justlike Sl did will eventually gain parity .They have given all teams a hard time in Bangla over the last two years they just need to be more consistent

Mate, you are close, so I wouldn't spurting your crap.

Bangas have a while to go but one day they will get in to the top 8 and eventually they will work their way into the top6. They have a very good future that's for sure, it will take alot more time but they will get there.

Na mate i'm Australian, born in Aus and never even been overseas.
But just love the Bangladeshi cricket side, having only taken an interest in cricket 6 years ago, wanted to see the development of a young side, and enjoy it when the tiges take wickets or hit boundaries because it doesn't happen too often lol.
But we (Bangladesh) are on the way up.
I don't hate the Aussie side i just love the underdogs.
Aussie's are no.2 in my heart, still hope they beat England! :D :thumbsu:

I think the Bangladesh team has improved, but still a long way to go before you could be considered top 8.

Not now, in fact you'll find in the last 12 months, Sri Lanka have been the biggest improvers in world cricket.
The future was looking pretty bleak, they had Jayasuria, vass, sangakkara and murali.
3 of which will retire in the next 3 years.
Players have stepped up, Malinga, Tharanga, Silva to name a few.
Although i still think their batting is very vulnerable.

I have no problem with you bumping old threads, pluga_4, they are interesting to look back at.

But, I do find it funny that I was banned for two days for bumping three threads.
