View Full Version : Foxtel sport channel changes
Anyone know why Foxtel have changed the channel number for some of their sport channels ?
Eurosport news has gone from 509 to 514
ESPN from 511 to 508
A1 from 636 to 517
Fuel from 513 to 516
Sky Racing from 515 to 519
and there's now a Fox Sports News channel [513].I wonder if this will be used when they need a 3rd Fox Sports channel for a live sporting event.
There's also something coming soon on ch500 called 'Sports Selector'.

Just grouping them all closer together, afaik.
Absoloute waste of time and money, here I was hoping for some new channels, when they just do stupid crap like that, honestly why spend money on that when you could bring in actual new channels, not re-hashed ones or a 'sport selector'.

They really need a Fox Sports 3 channel with the increasing amount of sports they're acquiring (like A-League soccer and domestic cricket), other sports (like non-Australian international cricket) are getting increasingly squeezed out.
Not much of a change, although a good idea to give the Fox Sports news updates (which had only been accessiable through the red button) its own selected channel.
And what channel's TVN?
stays at 520
They've made some minor changes to the package deals as well.
What we know as the Basic Pack, people can now scoop up for $37 a month, but without Fox Sports and Fox Footy. Another $15 on top of that will give you those channels along with A1, Fuel and ESPN. So you get three bonus channels for an extra $1 a month.
I pay $51 a month for my subscription, will be calling Foxtel to ask about the extra three channels.
Whats with the sports selector. I havent had a good fiddle with it yet, all I can see it about 9 sports channels on the one screen like the sky news active?

We have the basic package..so does that mean we got ESPN!??
If you got the Basic Pack before the new service changes, call Foxtel to ask about the changes.
The Basic Pack is now broken up, with 'Get Started' which per month is $36.95 & 'Sport' which is $14.95 extra.
