It's amazing how the VFL works isn't it? Frankston knock over Sandy last week but lose to Geelong.
Two questions Robbo -
Geelong had how many AFL/VFL players (if you know)?
And how did Sammy Carpenter play?

Geelong would have had our strongest VFL line up in a long time. I quickly counted 285 games of AFL experience and we only had 4 top ups playing:
#43 James Byrne
#49 Adam Cook
#51 Jay Cheep
#55 Jason Davenport
how did Sammy Carpenter play?
Sam played really well and didn't look out of place in the seniors?

that's excellent news. i haven't seen this boy play yet but heard a lot about him he is a little champion already.

He was OK - especially early but didn't see much of it after half time.
How Byron Murphy was named best is beyond me.

18 AFL players. Would have been 19 but Playfair went up on Friday night.
So much for the 12/10 Rule that every other club plays under.
Lets just make a special rule for ONE club.

It could only be beyond you if you don't understand the game.
He was clearly Frankstons best player. Which simply suggests that you have no clue.
But just to entertain myself, who do ypou think was best for the Dolphins??

Geelong is stand alone therefore they will have all 22 players AFL listed if they could, and there is no 12/10 rule, so dont no wat ur on about.

You are a thorough moron.
If you don't know what you are talking about, the rather than post rubbish, just sit in your little corner and drool over your Ablett Shrine.
Roberts No.24 was easily Frankstons best!
I thought No.10 with the semi ponytail & Eames were probably 2 & 3. No.6 Ongarello was BOG in 1st half. Took a truckload of defensive saving marks.
Murphy was OK but broke even on the wing with No.55 from Geelong.
Has anyone considered that 12/10 is actually "more" beneficial to clubs. That way they can play a bunch of mature age, usually ex-AFL listed players i.e If I was looking to win I'd rather have e.g Williamstown - B Lloyd, Greene, Williams, Tallis, Galea etc... rather than 1st year rookies finding their feet.
I looked at the Geelong team yesterday - probably had 6 players straight out of TAC cup and 4 or 5 playing their 1st or 2nd game for the year.

I agree that 12/10 is of benefit to the competition, and clubs as a whole.
My point relates to the fact that ONLY Geelong are not required to plkay 12/10 when the rest of the competition are against stand alone clubs and in finals.
Thats my only point.
I agree with you about Roberts and Kennedy (10), but I thought Murpohy was pretty much on a par with the 2 of thenm, followed by probably Onga then Eames.
Not sure Onga was that great in the second half and I paid a fair bit of attention to him as I was sitting behind his folks.
In any event its always subjective and a club will always rate players based on what they see as their contribution to the game as a whole, and to the team plan in particular.
Pretty much don't diagree with what you said, so I withdraw my slander and challenge of your knowledge of the game.

Why would they give preference to other players not even on the senior list?
Where would the other guys that were on the list play?

Fool.
That reply shows nothing other than your abolute ignorance of the VFL competition. I couldn't care less where Geelong play their AFL overs.
Geelong choose to play in the VFL competition, they should play on the same basis as everybody else.
That means having a reserves side, and playing any overflow at that level.
Either that, or get out of the competition altogether and do whatever else they like.
