I reckon they will bat on to try and frustrate the South Africans and so Kirsten and Gibbs don't have as long to prepare for thier innings.

the aussies always make a point of not protecting the tail, so i think they'll bat it out. Any runs the score now will just ease the target for the 2nd innings
