Well have been listening to it for a couple of weeks now and im glad to say im in love with this Radio Station :D Great music and hardly no ads.........
What do you reckon?

I have not listened to it much. When City fm was on, I had them on most of the time. Since they went off air, I have had Nova on a little, and it is not too bad. Better than our new full time stations that were apparently in very high demand like SEIMA, and Tripple 7.:rolleyes:.
I will listen to Nova a fair bit more until the end of January, and then I am switching to 3XX.
Love Listening to Nova, Breakcast is better then Fox and MMM and we wont even go near Mix.
Nova Sydney is grouse as well with Ugly Phil in the afvos...

Yeah, it has been on up here in sydney for a while now.
Started brilliantly, no ads, top music.
Still very good although more and more ads have started to appear recently and they have dumbed down the music to be a lot closer to MMM (which I hate).
Still, it's by far the best FM station in syd and does have merrick and rosso.

JJJ and MMM still sh*t over it for mine, although I suppose the no ads is a good thing. They've basically taken half of MMM, and half of Fox.
Too inconsistant, I'd have to listen to five songs to hear one or two I like. Might as well listen to MMM or JJJ.

Yeah it's my new number one station, now that the community stations like Kix and Hitz are no more it's good that Nova have taken up some of the slack by playin a lot of new music. They throw in the occasional oldie which is ok too but most of their play list is on the ball. No ads helps too, you can leave it on and not have to change every ten minutes.

But I will still always choose MMM over it.

I listen to triple m mostly...but i have listened to nova a bit just to see what its like. The ad part is definitely good, though i wonder how long it will last. I bet in time they will have the same amount of ads as the other main stations. I hate the techno/dance music they play...its sooo annoying. They do play some good stuff though and it is good for the ppl that like variety...but its too much for me! lol :p

I've been listening to it since the 1st day and i reckon it's really good (tho maybe not as good as fox :p ) I reckon their breakfast ppl are the best by far on radio in melb. The others are no where near as funny. And the fact that they have hardly any ads is good too. It was pretty funny to hear them go 'if u hear more than 1 ad in a row check your ears' and then a week later it was 'if u hear more than 2 ads in a row...' lol Anyway the other wierd thing is hearing something like creed then the next song is something like rapture.
....Or 28 Days! :)
They difference between Hughsey, Kate and Dave is that they acctuly like each other lol.

Hmmm. Had a lot of promise, and seems a lot better than fox, mix, triple M, basically a better variance in songs than the other commercial stations, but I still MUCH prefer community radio, like Triple R and PBS. Very few ads, and the ones they do play refer to local issues and useful gig guides. I don't need to be told in a 30sec to 1 min ad which station I'm listening to, I usually know.

Love it there is a variety of music another good station to listen to was kix fm that station rocked.
Too much techno for my liking. I think all mainstream radio these days is crap. Too much talk and ads, not nearly enough music.. and what music they do play is a limited playlist which gets flogged to death.
Stick to CDs.

Any station that plays Cocaine by Yakooza to me makes it so much better. But like I posted earlier, I will be trying to listen to 3xx at the end of the month.

Exactly brotha!! Love that song ... it's pretty old now ... but still good. They kill it ... but i don't care. It's not like i hear it on every other bloody station a million times a day!
Triple M I'm gone to Nova if you bring that Bridgette Duclos(think?) back she is a pain in the ass with no brain. Nova in the morning is great, but Timbo and Bedders was better but no longer so Nova all the way!!

I get sick of the same type of music after a while, so I pretty much love it.
Love the dance/techno, and they sometimes play some of the classics and harder stuff (like Kix and Hitz used to), which I like.
Also like the Top40 stuff occasionally (and they don't play as much of the Backstreet bullshlt as fox does, which is a bonus).
Love the rock (TripleM style)
Some more JJJ type songs would be the icing on the cake.
Best of the stations for mine.

i usually listen to it but which ever station has the best song on at the time i listen to =/
