Just wondering if anyone knows who is out of contract at the end of this year, as I think the minimum changes a club must make to the list is three except I'm not 100% sure.

Polo would have to be... when they're drafted, dont they get a 2 year contract? Sign him up now!

Ditto Pattison and how ever else cam out of that draft, bar Deledio.

A few weeks back I think I counted up to about 22 guys out of contract. Since then Schulz, Deledio and Pattison have signed. So probably somewhere between 18 and 20.

Is Gaspar?

If so..Trade.

No trade value in a 30 year old who has struggled with injuries. He is more value to us than anyone else because we can use the Veterans List to keep him, and still use a spot on the senior list.

All the second year guys are automatically out of contract. McGuane, Limbach, Tambling, Polo, Meyer. (Deledio and Pattison signed).

Roach and Jackson got 1 year deals I think, so they are out of contract. Moore would be the same.

Knobel signed on an original 2 year deal, so he is another.

Stafford will retire when his 1-year deal finishes. (With Stafford going re-signing Knobel becomes a priority by default).

I am pretty sure that Tivendale, Chaffey, Kellway, Gaspar and Richardson are coming out of contract. Chaffey will probably be retired.

Rookie list guys like Graham, Howat and Humm would be on one year deals. Graham will probably get another year regardless.

I would guess that Foley and Thursfield got 1 year deals when promoted from the rookie list.

So there is 19 signatures to make decisions on at least.

Superdraft on it's way this year. There will be more than 3 off the list. For some reason I thought it was 5 - could be wrong.

3 is the minimum number of vacancies (and therefore picks) you have to create. That normally means cutting 3 blokes.

5 is the maximum number of trades a club can do.

Superdraft? Not really. Not in terms of getting extra value with your second selection anyway.

Everyone talks about Gaspars huge contract but when Terry arrived didnt Gaspar agree to take a pay cut at somewhere near the 30% mark? Ottens was asked to do the same so he nicked off... great player he has become.
