I am a lions supporter until the day I die But this whole leak of secret game plans to other teams/media Is reallly getting to my nerves I personally think its a publicity stunt and an excuse for the way they have been behaving and playing and I have had enough!!!!! . Yes we had a good run with premierships and so on in the past 10 years and yes every team has a bad and a rebuilding stage But instead of passing the Buck and saying somebody has leaked out your secret game plans Have a good look at yourselves and see what you guys are doing wrong whilst playing the game. You guys are lazy, You arent hungry enough for the ball, You are not trying nearly as much as you should be Stop looking for excuses and Start looking for solutions to how to improve your game!!!!!! Do your Fans and Members a favor and give us a game to watch instead of contantly being in the media and complaining!!!!

Mate, I'm seeing double, I'm sure a fella with the same name as you posted a thread with almost the same title and theme a little while earlier...

But it's an interesting point. I'm sure we'd all like to see the lions go harder at it. Interesting to read that the coach and players still have finals on the mind, some fans gave up on that long ago, I even read somewhere that people had given up on season 07!

I'd like to see all the young kids just go for it, Charman has been great, and Sherman has been giving it a red hot go...But I hope we've seen the end of 'keepsies off' - cause it's been a little embarrasing the last couple of weeks...Here's to a blinder over the next month!

Its almost a soap oprah these days they wont be the side they were once for a very long time to come its not possible and wouldnt be expected them to be but to say theres a mole in the camp giving out information to other clubs it just doesnt make sense. The other clubs are aware of thier playing style and so forth they watch videos of tapes of their last encounters and have played them before I think its just yet another excuse for thier poor performances.I'm just hoping they get out of this little drama and concerntrate on what they are meant to be doing and thats playing football Instead of constantly been in the spot light with some new scandal.

Do people seriously think the best way to deflect attention from the club is to draw attention to itself?

Do people think the opposition having one snippet more of information than they already posess is an good thing?

I hope this isn't Lethal's 'teflon' approach to making us put up with the lean years?

I find it totally acceptable that we've had the run at the top and now it's time to re-build and by blooding young kids, such as Roe, I take my hat off to the coaching staff and am accepting of poor performances, as long as we are blooding youth.

Tell me if you don't agree?

Personally I think that is a minor part of the issue.

It's more about how Leigh run's his ship, and someone is bucking the system in a disrespectful way - possibly without even knowing it, and that is causing internal turmoil. That is just what you don't need when things aren't travelling well.

Just to put it in perspective, it could be in the media as in the paper, on regular tv show or the news, a pregame commentry by the usual commentry team etc, it's just that someone somewhere is saying things that haven't been released to the media by the club. And that is an issue.

It could be something as simple as players chatting with regulars at training like they always have and saying "oh yeah when player x is back on the field that will free us player y to go back to this position instead of what you've seen him doing at training today" and that being reproduced on a fan site and the media taking it from there.

You've got the players, the footy staff, the physios, the trainers, the doctors, the support staff etc. It could be that a player and a physio are talking about it in the physio clinic - and someone there is passing it on even innocently - it is a public clinic too.

Or how many former players are currently involved in the media? Having a chat 'amongst mates' could be the issue.

Or how many former staff are now involved in the media?
Or how many player/footy staff/support staff family members discuss it over dinner and someone somewhere is innocently repeating their dinner discussion when they talk footy at work the next day?

It could be any bloody thing, but by the sounds of it, it is happening in some way shape or form.

Leigh is an amazing leader and team builder. He has very old style and simple rules (anyone who has heard him as a speaker would understand what I am trying to say, he has the ability to take something complicated and present it in a very simple and cohesive form). Respect, punctuality, trust and belief that those around you are doing their job - that is what he works by. This leak is bucking the respect and trust issues and eroding belief - because someone is doing something they shouldn't.

He's also not the type to create furphies to deflect from other issues. So I can't see that he would be voluntarily putting a cat amongst the media pigeons. He has enough media experience and savvy to know that can create more problems than it could solve.

Danni, agree with a lot there. From other sites I've been associated with I swear I've seen almost direct quotes from discussion. Personally I've posted tactics and other things I've seen at training to keep others fans who aren't able to attend up to date and informed. I might curb that practice from now on.

I was more responding to the train of though that leaks aren't a big deal. Any advantage you can get in this game is moer than you had before.

Yeah I wasn't having a go at you TFB, just trying to post my thoughts on the issue.............it sorta went for longer than I expected!!

To be honest I am just really over this whole 'lets see what unsettling stuff is in the paper today' thing that is going on.

I know it is part and parcel of being on the bottom of the ladder, but it really leaves you wondering what agendas people have, or if it is just that they haven't actually thought anything through and are just reporting anything to fill airtime/column space etc. It's very frustrating.

But they are making a huge issue out of it though.
I know when you go to training, you talk to players who you know, you can be talking to someone innocently and say so and so is coming back next week or somehting like that, and off it goes.

Who, the club? Doesn't seem to me that way. Leigh mentioned it once (and probably wishes he hadn't) and Brad Scott was asked about it by the media the other day. Where else has the club made a big deal of it?
