Full squad practice today.

Ozzie & Brennan just did kick to kick, handball to handball.

Asked Lance Franklin if he was playing this week? His response "Should be right"

Thurgood & Barker in full practice.

Didnt see DJ or Shane, nor Boyle.

Muston - didnt see what sort of training but returned to the rooms puffed. Was in running gear not footy gear, certainly seems to be coming along from knee surgery.

Cheers

birchall has been emergency for the last two weeks at least and i would think he would be included in the team if crawf, croad and jacobs are out.
We really need buddy to be right to play.

1. Hodge: Trained ok.

2. Hawks training: Look up the Hawks website for training details. No official, public training is scheduled this week in Melbourne. Friday will be Qld.

Hawks generally train Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday. Friday is the day they usually post a time but watch out, does vary.

Thanks Rusty - could Barker actually get a game or is it off to Box Hill for him?

Interesting point. Boyle didn't train and we aren't convinced on Buddy playing yet either. Who else could replace Jacobs and Croad?
Barker...he is the man...if he wasn't injury plagued he'd be in straight away but because he is always injured these days he'll come back slowly through the VFL. That's what Clarkson said, but now things have changed, could he be thrown in straight away without a VFL appearance? It's a huge risk, but could pay off!!!!

The talls to come in? - five options. Bailey is too raw, Boyle is apparantly injured, Buddy is 50-50, Barker highly unlikely, that leaves Taylor - another ruckmen.

Birchall will definitely play. Feel Kane might too.

Boyle, Franklin, Taylor, Bailey, Barker

Binxy. To be truthful I think its gone past him a bit. He's missed a lot of footy and he doesnt get pressured in the training drills as he is given the "receiver" role i.e. just accepting the kick from the guys who have fought to bring the ball down to him.

Since he hasnt trained the house down I personally would be happier to see him start back at BH and see how he goes.

Re Boyle. I just said I didnt see him. Didnt record his number and dont remember seeing him doing the contested marks etc that the forward group does... but doesnt mean to say he didnt train. Same with DJ. Didnt see him.

When you have about 40 players including rookies + coaching and training staff on the field plus at least 3 different groups (rehab, main training, smaller group or individual training) and players wearing different numbers like today we had 2 no 5's (Thurgood - thats an easy pick up & Mitchell), 2 no 6's (Williams and I can only think a rookie) and 1 no 9 (Clark) not picking up Boyle or DJ is possible.

To me from what I saw today and with Croad out, Buddy is almost 100% starter. Taylor looked good at training too??

Talked to Birchall last night, he's a good chance to play but he said Buddy is likely to be out for another 2 weeks. Barker is ready to go but he doubts he will play ones.
