Hey guys, bad luck about the loss to the Roos, we we're pretty lucky against them so yeah, can't really gloat.

Anyways, I'm on a red hot streak in my tipping comp at the moment and I feel as though I can nail every game this week except for the Hawks up in Queensland. I kinda thought you guys were a shoe-in but after hearing about Croad, Jacobs and Crawford I'm kinda worried...Are you guys backable? I'm not so sure about the Lions considering how they might be really cut about performing really badly and losing respect from every other team in the comp. They could come out all guns blazing or they could just roll over and cark it.

Need help and convincing, please!
Cheers

I tend to agree. It's more 50-50 now. If Croad, Jacobs and Crawford were there we would win by 5+ goals. Now it could be a very close game or Brisbane could fire up and smash us.

We've got to contain Brown, if we can do that we go a long way to winning the game. But we must also watch Akermanis and Bradshaw.

It's a hard one to tip that's for sure. Don;t expect too much from it.

I'll say the Hawks by 18 points. If we do get up, it will be one of our best wins for some time with our guns out.

Jacobs isn't listed as officially injured on the Hawks website, yet obviously without Croad we will be missing a fair bit of forward structure.

But get on the hawks, I think after last week they will be fired up - especially Hodge, Mitchell and Williams who have had quiet games in the past two weeks.

With Zac Dawson playing on Brown we should be a shoe-in....

He's getting masses of dream team points at the moment so he should keep Brown scoreless...

I'd go the Hawks.

If we set out in the first half with overdoing the handpassing in a predictable game plan North well and truly worked out by the start of the second half we will get done by most teams.

Hope Clint Young will set an example and deliver time and again direct into the forward line, preferably by the corridor, or be accurate himself in shooting for goal ... then we will have a chance against even a dodgey Lions team.

Even as a loyal lions supporter i had tipped this Hawks this week (i avg 5.5 this year btw on fire!), but now with the outs for Hawks im finding it hard to tip against us, even though we will probably lose going on current form: regardless of personnel.
Will be tough and i'll probably be chopping and changing it til Saturday.

I think we will win and here is why;

.So far this season we have been outdone by Gorilla forwards BUT, we have more importantly lost to teams with quick and skillful ball movement who have power forwards. Brisbane have this in Brown, but midfield movement is poor

.The ground will suit our fast expansive running game

.It's not at the GABBA , it's at the GC. Big difference, in terms of atmosphere and intimidation

.Williams, Mitchell and possibly Hodge are due

.Brisbane's forward line (while big) is slow, if we can gain possesion of the ball in the backline we can get good rebound out of defence.

IMO, it's 55/45 in favour of us, not good enough odds in my book to have a punt either way!
