12 goals in the QAFL last weekI caught the back end of that game last week and wondered why this guy hasn't merited a mention. When the team as a whole has lost it's shooting boots (lowest scoring team in the comp) then he should be considered surely?

Someone has to get injured first.
The problem for Pask is that we are not short on big guys. In fact our big fellas have gone alright this year. It's the smaller players that we are in need of.
This is compounded by the fact that the modern game is much more of a running game. Pask looks like a huge great bloody massive individual, and it's going to be hard for someone that size to cover the territory required to be successful.
I loved his bump on Lloyd on the preseason. The reaction on Lloyd's face was great.
They could still elevate him for Lappin. Roe was elevated for Chris Scott.
Still, I tend to think he'll need to do that for month. Merrett has kicked plenty of big bags but it doesn't necessarily translate to AFL.

Scoty Harding for Hadley
Phylis Diller1 for Lappin
Death Roe for C. Scott
No more places unless someone retires or is placed on the long term injury list.

Didn't Stiller replace Garner?

You could be correct. In that case there is another spot available. However I'd like to see Forsyth given an opportunity. It may not happen as Forsyth has not or may not recover in time to get elevated.
Forsyth may be one of the most tragic, hard luck stories in the history of Bears/Roys/Lions.

He had OP didn't he, and I know people have said he's had a lot of injuries (I remember a hammy earlier in the year). Is he susceptible to injury, or has he just had some bad luck?
But I've also heard he is one of the best athletes at the Lions list, which would mean that he is an even bigger asset in modern footy. But I don't know much else about him. I'd be interested to know more.

In short:
Absolute GUN at 16. Talked of a possible top 5 in the draft once he become eligible.
OP soon after. Out of football for twelve months. Forgotten and overlooked by recruiters. Still on K Beatson's radar.
Comes back towards end of year and strings a few games in the TAC competition.
Kenear takes a calculated punt on him with our last pick in 2004 National Draft. Pick 64. (a-la Rischitelly)
Few early games in the AFLQ provide a glimpse that Brisbane have an absolute GEM on their hands. Re-occurrence of OP. Out for the rest of the season, again.
Dropped to the rookie list.
Has played recently in the AFLQ. Still trying to shake off OP and other injuries. His progress has been severely hindered as a result of his OP.

When someone has OP is it an indefinite injury or do the medicos know how long it will take to overcome it. Brown had it last year, but everyone was saying he would be right next year. Do we know why Forsyth has suffered so much from this injury and are we able to put a date on when the problem will subside?
What is he like now? Is he like Luke Ball, playing through it?
If he gets over this condition, how far away is he from being at AFL standard?
He appears to be slowly getting some consecutive games in the AFLQ. I am not in QLD so not able to see him live. Can only report from second hand now. Information from a trusted source is that he is still not moving with freedom and fluency. If he does not show signs that he will get over his health issues and string some performances he may not survive the cull at the end of year. I am hoping he can get over his problems and live up to the potential. We certainly need a James Hird type in our midfield now.
My understanding was that Stiller had Garner's spot. Either way we're lost 4 blokes and elevated 3.
I would love to see Forsyth elevated, but he hasn't come close to putting it together yet. Either way, it's a good case for either giving Pask a month to build an undeniable case for elevation, or letting Luke run into some form. Win/Win.

In my AFL 2005 game, I'm in my 5th Season, and of all the young blokes I've only got:
Pask : Gun player right now, one of my teams best
Adcock: Never quite made superstar status but developed into a extremely dependable HB that I often throw into the ruck to relieve the regular onballers
Attard: Amazing booming kick, good hands. Similar to Adcock with a bit less grunt.
Spanderman: Has taken over from Brown as premier CHF, currently winning the Brownlow halfway through his 5th Season (come back Spanders!)
Sherman: Gun HF, and still only 22 years old, by next season will most likely be the best on my List
J.Brennan: good wingman or forward pocket player, but really failed to live up to his potential.
And thats it. I still have Copeland and Ash McGrath on my team to fill in if injuries strike, but of all the remaining Lions they have either been retired, delisted, or used as trade bait.

don't know if this has been posted, but it seems your wish has come true.
Strongly built second-year Brisbane rookie list player Marty Pask has been elevated to the club’s senior list.
Pask takes the place of Nigel Lappin, who goes onto the long term injured list for eight weeks, inclusive of last weekend.
Pask, 21, has kicked 23 goals in his last three reserves games and is a former AFLQ Rising Star winner. He was born on the Gold Coast and played state league football for the Western Magpies.

The Lions tend not to promote somebody unless they want to pick them for the next game.
My understanding is that Pask is a defender, but seeing he's been kicking goals, I presume he'll get a run at full forward. But the benefit of being able to do both will come in handy.

Interesting.
With three forced changes for the Power game Pask has a very good chance of being named in the side.
Interesting road to elevation by Pask.
He was rookied as a forward, however with Bradshaw, Merrett and Spanderman having first dibs on the FF position following Lynch's retirement, Brisbane thought his chances of elevation would be better as a defender. With the failure of Merrett to secure the FF position Pask has returned to FF and has put in some impressive performances for the Sunny Lions.
Meanwhile Merrett is playing his trade as a FB.

If picked (and available) it'll be interesting where he plays. Have they earmarked Bradshaw for Chad Cornes or will Pask play down back. Port tend to play tall down forward so I think he's odds on to play.

Good to see him elevated, his form in the AFLQ for Suncoast has been hard to ignore.
Would the Lions be interested in drafting Ty Zantuck from Zilmere, another who has been in top form so far this season?
Nope. Had the chance and weren't interested. Trained with Brisbane during the preseason along with David Haynes and Fixter, all vying for the one PSD spot. Fixter got the nod.

I don't think this is out of the question although a lot of water is to pass under the bridge first. He would need to demonstrate a renewed commitment to football and Brisbane would have to see a spot for him in the 22. Zantuck is a medium defender or forward at AFL level and we have the likes of Drummo, Brennan, Roe, Notting, Moody and Copeland who are that similar size.
However, I am 100% sure that the Lions are keeping an eye on him through the Brittain connection. Form will be a somewhat minor consideration though - attitude and fitness will be more important.
You don't get the flick from two clubs to two years because you're unlucky.

From what I have seen of Zantuck I have not been impressed. Add to that his off-field problems.
