Considering we have only made the finals twice in the last 23 years(which is easily the worst record by any afl/vfl team after 1982, it's amazing that we can still get about 30,000 members. So many 9th spot finishes, wooden spoons and games and finals chances thrown away. After the countless disappointments and frustration, we are still the biggest Victorian club who are about to rise from the dead ;). We have been so bad in that era that we would have to win 10 games in a row to get the closet supporters out to a game. We would need to make the finals 2 years in a row to convince those supporters that will not let everyone down. But when it happens, all the new young generation will follow the tiges and we'll be the biggest Victorian club with over 40,000 members and average over 50,000 per game and get over 1 million people to our games in a season like we did 25 years ago. If we won a premiership, we'd get 50,000 members ;)
We only need 200 members per week over the next 2 weeks to get a record membership

I think we might get 30,000 this year
It`s good news ... couple with this the fact that i reckon our crowds are up this year then we should hopefully post a tidy little profit this year .
Win today and watch the bandwagon start winding up ;) ..... all aboard :thumbsu:
Its cause I joined for the first time ;)
Seriously thats great news :D:)

it will only improve with Gary March to tell the AFL that we want MORE home games at MCG and drop it to just two a season at telstra dome
