Does this mean we can reasonably expect to win the next two games??? ;)

In all seriousness, we should reasonably expect to win the next 3 games.

Agree. If we play the same Richmond that Sydney did today, we could even add in a "PBT" (percentage boosting thrashing... and god knows we need that with a percentage of 90-friggin-3....

The next five look winnable to me. That takes us up to the midseason break so we should hopefully come out reloaded after that.

We only have six games away now.

To use a over used cliche " Lets take it one week at a time". There are no easy games in the league anymore and if you arent switched on like we were'nt today you get smashed.

Lets be honest who had us being 4-3 after 7 rounds, i did'nt i thought we would be 1-6 or 2-5 and in turmoil but we won some games we were not expected too and despite today's insipid performance are travelling okay.
The Roo's, Richmond etc won't be favoured against us but there normally the games we unexpectadly drop and if the boys don't play 100% we'll get beat, simple as that.
I refuse to look more than 1 week ahead now because we are too bloody unpredictable.

I seem to recall one of my Pure Maths Proffessors telling me this story about sequences and a visiting lecturer to Princeton - The lecturer asked the class:

"What is next after 1,2,4,8..?"

Nobel Physics Prize winner Dr Richard Feynman replied:

Feynman: "Zero!"

professor: (nervously) "and what's after that?"

Feynman: "Zero!"

Professor:"Ummm...Why do you say that?"

Feynman:" Seemed as likely as any other number!"

Seriously, we were always going to lose this one.

What the team needs to do now is to regroup and get on with it. We have 3-4 easy wins coming up but thats all up to the lads.

I actually think that after all these years, they guys finally have the right state of mind.

to be out of harms way we need to string 3 to four wins together, where will the these come from? The next three weeks?

Brisbane is very much a danger game. I can't remember the last time we played at the Gabba? 2000? 2001?

Going into the bye we need to be at least 7-5 with 10 games to go.
needing at least 5 wins to secure a finals spot and maybe 6 wins to get a home final ie finishing 5th or 6th

Once again it could come down to the last 3-4 games

crows(away) Saints(home) Slime(away Wderby) and Power(home)

This why we need a run of wins before the bye being 8-4 would be nice going into the bye

2002. We lost by 30 points to an angry Brisbane side who'd previously been knocked off the top of the ladder. I wore my Freo boxers on the outside of my shorts that day :p

We can win that one, we will win against Brisbane even if it means moving heaven and earth so help me god we gotta win that one!
