One of the few times Channel 9 televised a Port game live into Sydney. And if today's effort is any indication of how we've been playing, well, I can see where some our more frustrated posters are coming from.
Soft. Lazy. Undisciplined.
No intensity.
I can handle losing but not when we play like a flock of seagulls - scavenge an easy possession but as soon as things get a bit tough, we fly away.
Dew, Motlop and Cassisi have to go. (Cassisi looks like he might be out with injury anyway).
A few battled their guts out, namely Lade, White and Pearce.
FFS - play Junior Burger on the ball, once and for all! He's the ONLY player we've got who can create in traffic.
Surjan at least had a dip. Thurstans did some good things - took a few marks up forward. Chad had a memorable cameo.
Tredders is obviously struggling with fitness.
Sad to say but Wilbur looks shot.
Anybody see the bloke with the 'CHOCKO FOR BAGHDAD' sign in the crowd?
Not a good sign, figuratively and literally.

Crikey!!!
Are you guys really that bad??
Shyte, questions HAVE to be asked NOW.
Do you guys want Bryce THAT badly??
Very disappointed in what you showed today. You are insipid, scared of the man, won't go in to get the hard ball etc, etc.
NOT the Port Adelaide I know and detest.
I'm starting to like your Club. :p
Seriously, you need a shake-up big time. It won't happen during this season as is the Port Adelaide way but Choke'o has to go.
Your gameplan stinks. You won't win games playing chip possession. SIMPLE AS THAT.
FULL STOP.

Yeah it looked like confidence was totally shot. Man for man on paper we matched up well, but that went missing from the first bounce.
What is it with this reluctance to take the ball through the middle? Every time we did that we looked good and often created a scoring opportunity but too often it went wide to a turnover.
The younger players are trying hard but not getting the guidance. We are obviously carrying too many injuries - too many times we were easily beaten to the ball.
I'm not going to say "that was the worst display from a Port side ever" because that will only be true for another week .
Gutted. Again. I'm so glad Choco spent the effort in building confidence around the issue we have when the opposition get a roll on. This week we managed to keep the run of consecutive goals against to only ten! Things are definitely looking up  .

Forget the game plan, we won't win games by giving up and not putting up any sort of effort. We have more spectators on the park than in the stands. Only Lade, Pearce and Surjan are exempt from criticism for spectating. Even Shaun Burgoyne watched in the first half.
We are the laziest group I have ever seen. There is no self-pride. Very, very sad.
Changes at every level must be made.

Did the Dogs have any inside 50s when they didnt score? Hard to tell on TV but we appeared to be AWOL every time the ball came near their forwards.

Hated seeing the young blokes constantly defer to the vets.
Peter Burgoyne racked up 30 possessions today but quite a few were cheap one's receiving a handball about a metre away from Pearce/Surjan etc.
Really wanna see Pearce and co. back themselves, even if everything goes haywire.

Anyone else want to give Brendon a run as captain?
Just got home ffrom the game. The PAFC is in a great rabble atm and it is time there was some accountability. The team that played today, excluding a couple i.e. Pearce and Lade were a disgrace to the tradition of the Port Adelaide jumper. Hang your heads in shame fellas:mad:   :(
Anyone else want to give Brendon a run as captain?
No.
Why put more pressure on him?

I thought Salopek was ok when Choco let him on the oval.
Agree with Magpiespower about Wilbur. But he limped off from training so it was no surprise. Of course Choco assured us he was ready to go.

No.
Why put more pressure on him?
Because at the moment he seems to be the only one capable of handling the pressure. Almost alone amongst the leadership group he didn't hang his head today...

The lack of leadership other than from Lade and Chad is astonishing. I understand Warren not being at his best, but he needs to do things that lift the side.
We are rudderless at the moment and that seems to be a major ingredient in our failures.
