This is all we need to hear.
Judd to play his 100th game against Essendon at the Dome.
All really pumped up to play a special game for his 100th even by his lofy standards.
Would have to say it is up there with the greatest first 100 games ever put forward by a player.
What a player!

that is our hope, i don't see who could stop judd, we could play 4 on him and he'd still be untouchable.
No doubt Juddy deserves some respect, he's in a perple patch 4 shore but weill knock em off this weekend, West coast have been league leaders and have failed to beat us at the dome for the last 4 games, Juddy or no Juddy.
If Hilly can get on top of cox were in with a chance. GO THE DONS
Maybe Joel Reynolds could get a gig on him, a week after copping Fevola.
I think we will need to have rested players rotating on and off him. Nash perhaps could get a go. Also have the player (tagger) try standing on the defensive side of him so that if he does get a possession at least he doesnt run with it for 40 metres as well and make it a 80-90 metre play.

McVeigh is our best tagger and he's been in good form.

didnt no we had a psychic in the house.. that can predic into the future.. umm while ur at it which players should essendon draft that will be stars.. who will win coleman/normsmith/flag and spoon so i can have a field day at the tab oh heck and what numbers will come up at the next lotto so i can get the 20 million jackpot???

Heffernan will take him. He may be beatin for pace but imo heffernan is our best tackler. Its a very hard job to keep Judd from getting the ball but its when he runs with it is where we have to stop him. maybe we could try playing someone a couple of metres in front of him and make him go backwards:confused: We also need to make some of there midfeilders man ours up, try and make them adjust there game abit.

I think that heffernan should get the job and while judd is a matchwinner, matchwinners only win games when their side is good enough to keep them in the hunt. We have had a bloke just as good up until about 2 years ago when age began to weary him in jimmy hird, and we all know that no matter how good he is if the rest of the side doesnt do enough around the ground then its irrelevant how good one player is. So if essendon win enough contests around the ground and enough essendon players beat their opponent, which i think they might, it wont matter if judd gets 40 touches and kicks 5.

Well said. It takes a team to win a game, not an individual. Hes a great player though, no doubt about it, but looking forward to see who lines up on him and how they go lowering his influence on the game. I'd say Heffenan will get the job.

I honestly think that you blokes have a good chance against us on the weekend... Last year you were only a kick in it at Subi with 5 mins to go and you played very well all game.. You guys have a better record than we do against you.
I remember two years ago at the dome when Misiti, Rioli and another big name player pulled out at the last minute and you guys were severly undermanned and had to get a young bloke to play even though he payed for Bendigo the day before (Winderlich maybe?).. You killed us and that bloke picked up 30 touches!
This is the kind of game i can see you winning. Last year we played Collingwood who were stone last on the ladder in Melbourne and guess what happened? We got done by 5 goals... Sure you guys are undermanned but i think your spirit will hold you in good stead...
Keep Juddy and Cousins to limited damage and keep Cox at least on par with Hille and i believe you have the talent and belief to get over us..
Saying that.. West Coast by 20 points...:thumbsu: Judd is just too good to stop atm:D

I reckon theres far too much made of our year so far, we haven't been far off the mark(although against the weaker sides, we still could have been further up the ladder with a little luck), all thats required is for each and every player to go back to simple basics of using the ball smarter and putting more pressure on the opposition.
It was quoted in the paper the other day that Neil Craig said the true measure of a footballer is what they do when they don't have the football.
I hope the Bomber boys come out and make a real tough contest for the Eagles.
