G'day all,
I think this season will be the last for a number of sainters...
Thomas may be after as many new players from this up and coming draft as he can get....
Heres my thoughts:
Brooks (5 yrs in AFL / 10gms) Doesn't cut it
L. Fisher (4 yrs on list / 10/15 gms) to many ahead of him
M.McGough (5 yrs in AFL / 50gms ) hasn't worked
L.Montagna (5 yrs on list / 30/40 gms) talent, make or break season
A.Murray (6 years in system / 15/20 gms) Not good enough return, definatley make or break
S.Powell ( 10 yrs in system / has been very handy) but currently in the two's??? not sure where he's at???
R.Harvey / A.Thompson (2 champions :thumbsu: both set to retire)
This would free up 7/8 spots on list for "super" draft
Any thoughts guys

Yer i definatly think they need to clean out a bit of the crap. Depending on how this season turns out I think a fair few players will be looking for new clubs. Most defintly Murray and Brooks. I don't rate them at all.
And once we can get the right team selected then we should be fine.

Fisher's too good a player, if his hammy stands up he's a certainty, Montagna has enough runs on the board, is icing in a good team.
Gone
Brooks, McGough, Murray, Peckett, Powell, Thompson and possibly Harvey.
i will bet you that if they are dropped Sheedy will make stars out of them !!!

Didn't the G train have to be convinced to play this year ??? Surely he will retire into obscurity.
Has Luke Penny been kept on the list in the hope of a change of heart ???

Nope. Once he retired that's it, off the list.
For mine, Murray, Thommo, Peckett & Harves are probably on their last years; Brooks will need to show something to stay. McGough is still young, Powell is still tough & only 29 or so.
Probably 4 changes to the list.
says something about good coaching of which Grant Thomas KNOWS absolutely nothing
Not happy with the coach Chas?
He's a one trick pony
One trick is all that horse can do
He does one trick only
It's the principal source of his revenue ... ;)
Give it a rest willya Chas, you keep repeating yourself. We heard you the first twenty times.

Doubt we'll delist anyone this year.
Brooks - Was going well for the two's before being injured. Deserves another chance.
McGough - Dominating for the Scorps, is a chance to play this week
Fisher - Good backup for Voss and Baker
Montagna - Easily in our starting 18
Murray - GT loves him
However I think Harvs, Thommo and Frankie will all retire, while Powell will be "asked" to give it away.
