Ashley Flavel from West Coburg(9), only played one of the bottom teams to date and has 26 to this name already after round 5 will be a huge chance in my opinion!

Both Perry Meka and Troy Mitchell look like doing it in the Kyabram District FL. Mitchell has kicked bags of 8,8,8,11 in the last 4 weeks, for a total of 40 (in 5 games), whilst Meka is snapping at his heels with 32 or so..
I think Hall, for Heidelberg, has kicked a fair few already, and has exceptional supply, so I wouldn't be surprised if he kicked a ton as well..
Brendan Parker is kicking mountains of goals for nathalia, aswell.
You can check out who else on www.countryfootyscores.com under leading goal-kickers. There's also a section on who's kicked the biggest bag in one game (anyone who kicks over 10 IN COUNTRY FOOTY makes the list)..

You do realise a TONNE = 1000, while TON = 100
So I don't think anyone will kick a TONNE, but a TON is certainly a chance.

I think Imperial is the word you are looking for...
but accoridng to my Oxford Concise Dictionary a the definition of tonne is metric ton (1000 kilograms)
And for all intents and pruposes a ton, whether it be footy or cricket, is 100.

Other clubs Vinnie has played at include Monbulk, Boronia, Rowville and Kilsyth. I wonder if he has trouble finding the footy jumper of the team he is currently playing for this season. He has certainly been around!
On current form, surely Vinnie will be the first guy in Victorian country footy to kick 100 this season. Interesting to note that the supply of the football must be good when one of the Warbuton Millgrove guys in Mick Walker had supposedly 52 possessions in a game the other week - fair effort that!

FTB I think the word you are looking for is purposes
Ellinbank League has about 4 blokes above 40, led by Nathan Osler from Nyora with 47 from 6 games, just hitting his straps with 13 last week.
Ryan Ablett and a couple of others nipping at his heels. I think the competition will push them to post some pretty quick tons.
I can't believe Vinnie is actually kicking goals, I only saw him in lower EFL divisions and he was pretty average, I must have been wrong.
I think we all know what a ton (tonne) is. Big Footy is hardly the place for grammatticle lessons.

No, you seem to have misinterpreted your dictionary.
Tonne and ton are the same things, just different ways of spelling them. Feel free to google, i'm sure it will clear things up.

Yeah for sure MOR as long as his old fragile body can hold up. He surely wouldnt rack up 100 handballs in a year he would be lucky to rack up 10 but hey what full foward handballs..

Does Kinna still play down there??
How's his form?
In the Ellinbank league, it's neck and neck between Ryan Ablett from Bunyip on 54 and Nathan Osler from Nyora on 58. Be a great race to the ton and then see who holds out for the season.
Both averaging just over 8 a game, could be there by July.

Yeah he played his first game for them on saturday. Played C.H.F a big boy who takes a big mark and can kick a footy.

The V-Train also played a season at East Ringwood
I still remember kicking my tonne. Round 1 of 1978 it started and concluded round 16 of 1993. There was no fan fan fair or anything when i got it. 4 blokes fell over in the square and the ball rolled over my ankle and was called a goal. great stuff. To my surprise no one congratulated me, cheereed or anything. do you reckon i was p**sed off. F***en oath i was.
According to the local rag Chris Aurisch from Sale is a chance. He's on 26 goals from four rounds and, according to the paper, only recently turned 18. Not a bad effort.

Big Jack Arentz out at TooleyTang in the CMFL is still a real chance. He kicked 150+ last year. Has been injured early with an achillies injury sustained whilst putting his jocks on, but has since got over it and looks the goods. Keep an eye on this thread for his progress. Big man, big numbers of goals to come.
Daniel Jordan has 37 after 5 rds for East Point in the Ballarat League. Has kicked 29 in the last 2 rds, including 14 against last years premiers Melton

Division 1 power house Port Melbourne colts super star full forward Jason ( the rock ) Clarke is set to kick the tonne this year. Clarkey has been the rock behind the working class colts for many seasons and seems certain to reach the magic milestone in the upcoming weeks. Currently on 67 goals Jason and the colts play bottom side Seddon this week. Patty Davis , Jas's closest rival kicked 14 against them two weeks ago so this week could be something special for Jason. Not suggesting he will kick 33 this week but you would expect him to get a dozen or so in this game. Fingers crossed Seddon show up and not fold in the mean time.:thumbsu:

Well done to Big Vinnie - heard him on the ABC yesterday and he said that he had kicked 100 goals twice while playing for Upwey Tecoma.
Whilst he is a football mercenary in that he has played for more clubs than I have had hot dinners, it looks like he may be able to coach a premiership team and kick 100 goals plus in a season which is a fair effort in anyone's mind.
Warburton Millgrove obviously have benefitted from the unfortunate demise of the Powelltown FC and the return of a number of players to the club. Pity they werent around when the club was obviously struggling in Division 1.

Flooding is a discgrace and Mick Malthouse doesn't condone it (though he has used it). There are some extraordinary fowards in that comp Carroll & Arentz aruguably the 2 best in Country Vic

Doug Lavis has kicked 80 goals in 13 matches for Coreen-Daysdale-Hopefield-Buraja United in the Coreen and District league after booting 146 last year.
Someone else mentioned Danny Casset on here - he kicked 133 goals in 2004 for Rennie in his only season up here.
But the most impressive one I know of is in the Central West AFL up in NSW.
Up to the weekend of June 24 (no updates since), Matt Smith had kicked 135 goals for the Cowra Blues in just nine matches, including bags of 27 and 34 against the Orange Tigers in the space of a month.
Cowra kicked 51.27 333 to 0.3 3 in the first game and 51.18 324 to 0.1 1 in the second.
They are undefeated, with their closest winning margin being 57 points, and no others under 15 goals.

some of these comps must have some very ordinary footy sides running around on the park if full forwards are kicking 20 and 30 goals in a single game of football, surely this makes kicking 100 goals in a season a bit of a farce and doesn't carry a lot of sentiment
makes you wonder why some of these guys don't play at a higher grade to challenge themselves because you couldn't enjoy kicking 34 goals in a game when the opposition hardly score that is a joke really

Brendon Parker kicked 16 for Nathalia against Cobram on the weekend. He's on 87 with five or six games remaining in the season.
He was two goals off the record for Nathalia which is held by Mick Souter (Tongala games record holder).
Parker has kicked over 100 for the past two seasons. A sensational player.

I don't know much about the CWAFL except it is obviously in a rugby stronghold and only has four senior clubs - Cowra, Orange, Bathurst and Dubbo - and five reserves teams, all of the above plus Mudgee.
Smith isn't listed on Cowra's website as having played more than 30 games for the club so I assume he's in the town for work and that just happens to be the only footy around.
However, you've still got to be able to kick the goals, it's a skill that can prove beyond even the best of footballers.
Remember, 34 goals means the bloke must have got at least 34 kicks.
I usually took half a dozen games to get that many.
BTW Orange forfeited its third meeting against Cowra on the weekend, or it could have all happened again.
