red+black

Gerard and Caro just announced that Essendon will reveal a predominantly red alternative strip by the end of the month. It is known to not sport a black sash, although G + C had not seen it as yet.

I say bring back the red shorts.

Board unrest re: clash jumper according to BB - this issue is not dead and burried yet!

the alternative jumper may be something like a red jumper with a black strip that's a possibility.

Alec Epis apparently is going to move a motion of no confidence against McKissock and the EFC Board at the May 30 members meeting at Moonee Valley Racecourse over their handling of the jumper issue

At this moment in time, I strongly doubt McKissock would remain CEO if this happened.

McKissock isn't the CEO.

This is how well some of the Bomber fans are going. Very uneducated to say the least. McKissock is the Chairman!!!!!!
Alec Epis is wasting time and money should he opt for no confidence with regard to the board.

There is nothing Essendon can do about the jumper clash. Full stop. All teams have signed an agreement regarding this. Eddie MGuire spoke out the jumper clash sayig they will fight it yet this is him once again making a statement for public recognition and pretending to always act in the interests of the club. He knows that they cant avoid not producing an alternative guernsey.

Neil McKissock and the board have done as much as they can in regard to running Essendon. The club is definitely running at its best at the moemnt off field. On field they just havent got the cattle. Just remmebr there doesnt need to be a knee jerk reaction to Essendons performance. See the tough times out.

we don't clash with any club.No other jumper looks anywhere near like ours,WHY DO WE NEED TO HAV A ALTERNATIVE STRIP?

Its a joke.AFL marketing for the sake of 'something new'

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. if it has to be.......

Red jumper with our black bomber plane logo on the chest.

Red jumper with black sash would look shocking!!!!!!!!!!!!
A very stupid pointless waste of time that would make every single Essesndon supporter in the land off their noodle!!!!!!

There is an afl club on the gold coast i used to go and watch,Burleigh Heads Bombers, and they had red jumper with black sash.
IT LOOKED SHOCKING! hope the EFC never consider that combination for the so called alternative strip!

The fact of the matter is, if supporters and players complain and have the umpires wearing non clashing jumpers, we should also. We DO clash with the Tigers at least and if its going to allow us to at least help our disposal..then Im all for it.
All the traditional teams in the EPL have their own, most are totally different to their native strip, white to red, red to yellow, etc.
All you traditionalists out there...get with the times and stop this ridiculous bickering over a colour, when you're ALWAYS going to bleed RED N BLACK!!

Let's play with a round ball, the teams in the EPL do.

I just fail to understand why we should do something because the teams in the EPL do.

They dont seem to have a problem in making money by inventing strips for their die hards, n I dare say you've totally taken that out of context in that theyre JUST as loyal to their history as we are. Has nothing to do with copying them or following anyone's lead. Theres NOTHING wrong with an alternative strip if we use the SAME colours. Red sash, red stripes, red hoops, whatever the hell....doesnt phase me knowing I support the Bombers.

We may not like it, but its a sign of the times unfortunately. Lets agree to disagree n Ill gladly serve it up to anyone who might want to attack me for my OWN opinion. They're like rear ends...we all have them!

Well, might help to be a little more clear in your argument. Im opposed to using other colours, but Im certainly not opposed to a different design.
Some of our training kits look great, we have the resources and money to hire someone to create something with our proud colours.

I was actually thinking of a red sash with 4 bright stars along the sides of our jumpers...depicting 4 flags under Sheedy. I know some italian sides who do that and get away with it as a marketing ploy (Juventus and AC Milan) and satisifies the tradtionalists.

Imagine wearing one against a Pies supporter with only ONE to show for it in recent history! I know what Id be pointing to!!!!

Can only see the Pies creating one with a pair of hands around their collars:cool:
