Looks good to me CK. Sung flat out by the seconds, slower by the seniors and usually poorly by the juniors until they learn the bastard.
It's a corker and North Melbourne even stole parts of it for their 'hearts to hearts' bullshnit after they played the Rats in the early 50s.

Panton Hill (Diamond Valley FL) has had this song for years, and it's the only one that I know of in the DVFL that's not a rip-off of a AFL song.

I reckon it's a great song (and a bit ironic, because the Redbacks haven't won a flag in over 50 years), and if it was up to me, I would have Murchison's song sung to that tune, instead of having a rip off of the Melbourne theme song with the words green & gold put in.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane mate. That is an awesome club song and songs fantastic when everyone is belting it out. Have fond memories of singing that after winning an U/18 final at the West Oval.

Up in the Picola League there are a number of different songs. I know one line in Picola's says something about being the p#$@heads from Picola. Sounds a bit wierd when the juniors sing it and Tungamah's goes to the tune of Thank God I'm a Country Boy, by simply changing it to Thank god I'm a Tunga boy.
