View Full Version : Our Future “Fab Four”

I still remember the complete and absolute domination of Voss, Lappin, Aka and Black our “Fab Four” like it was yesterday. Even though that terminology is no longer an accurate description of our once great midfield, it does beg the question, who are our future “Fab Four”?

Hadlee? Drummond? Adcock? Rischitelli? Harding?
Should Black and Power be included in the mix at their age?

Thoughts?

We'll pick up the young Selwood in the draft this year: he'll be Ringo.

Power will be Paul; Black will continue to be John and the other newbie will be Scott Harding who will be George. :thumbsu:

When Power and Black decline you'll see replacements in Marcus Allan & Richard Hadley (if he ever gets a season without a bent knee!?).

Will Aka be Yoko?

Good thread. Can I do a fab 5.

When Lappin retires:

Black, Power, Adcock, Sherman, Rischitelli

Hadley and Selwood - probably not fashionable enough to be compared to a rock band, but equally effective.

Please note the ? after each player. I wasn't being specific, I was basically suggesting players who might be in the mix and asking others (ppl like yourself) for your thoughts!!

Sherman is a bit unlucky... really liking his development.

And that's without whichever superstar midfielder we draft at the end of the year!!!

I'm hoping having the year off for Lappin will keep him fresh like Lynchy, which will allow him to prolong his career and play for another 6 years:D

He has always played in an "ageless" kind of way. Similar to Robert Harvey. The game never seems too quick for them. If we can get another 4 years from him, it will help us immensely.

I'll go the 5 person option & add Hooper to Konstas_87's pick...

Ya Hooper when he develops will be a great midfield option, esp with his speed, kicking and harrasing. Just needs to find his feet and become accusotomed to his level. :thumbsu:
