When teams get into the mindset that is afflicting Port it takes multiple weeks of being seriously, savagely lambasted in the media before the players as a group get sick of the abuse and put in a good performance. I haven't had time to scratch myself let alone follow the media this week but I gather that Port has been savaged this week. I picked up on the fact that Mahoney (?) said it was time for action not talk which is one of the stages of underperforming squads heading towards having a gutful of criticism. Therefore the possibility of an honest effort today is there but my prediction is that it will take a few more weeks of heavy duty criticism before we get a good performance. When it comes that will likely be followed by a return to the bad ways once more.
I hope I'm wrong and that we'll witness a big turnaround. My son and I will be heading off in an hour. Fingers crossed.
We will win and Williams will use this game as an excuse not to play Chaplin or Pettigrew down back again for the year.

Port by 4 points. Ezard will goal with 25 seconds left to put us in front after a great chase and tackled in our forward 50 led to a holding the ball decision.
Lonie and Tredders will kick 3 each. Crowd will be 24,612.

Fillet mignon or tripe? Roast turkey, camembert and cranberry foccacia or fritz and sauce sandwich? Who knows any more.
At least they had a nice surf at Middleton during the week.

Depends.
If Patfull kicks 6 on Bish, then the `Choco doesn't like being made a fool' clause might kick in.

What about if it was Bradshaw? He's a more highly rated player than Patfull.
BTW in spite of predicting another poor showing I went with my heart and tipped Port. More fool me.
