I went to the geelong v coll game and obviously I kept a close eye on brad ottens. He had a lot of mates but boy oh boy he was just shocking. The blow torch will surely be on otto now. He looked slow, cumbersome, disinterested, totally outclassed by not only Josh Fraser but also (amazingly) cameron cloke. For the money he's being paid, he's really under the pump.
I know I know. Leave him alone.

He needs a decent forward around him to take the pressure off. Geelong tall forwards are ordinary to say the least.

Otto was average, but he had about 20 mates in that department. Only Milburn and Chappy seemed to give it a real crack for 4 quarters. Apologies to Scarlett/Harley, who gave 100% under constant unpressured delivery into the pies forward line.

Danny Meyer and Adam Pattison. Both played yesterday. Meyers first game for quite a while and did ok. Pattison was much better. 3rd game for him i think.

I was also at the game, i cannot believe that Geelong were flooding within 10 minutes. Every time players wanted to go forward the had no targets up the ground because all their players were either behind the ball or sideways.
It staggers me, considering the talent out there on the field. The gameplan and style of play was disgraceful

They gave up Moloney and their first round pick. Ottens has been ok for the Cats this year, without him they wouldnt have a ruckmen. I think the cats have far bigger problems than Ottens to worry about.

I thought Kelly and Milburn would have been the only to hold their heads high in that match. I thought Chappy had a quiet one compared to his normal self. Normally he would get the team going but didn't IMO anyway.

That's where your problem lies Catman... You needed a tall forward and you recruited a ruckman. Ottens is a capable ruckman but not a forward, you will only get value out of him when Mooney or King are injured.
