Shane Watson I think has come into the 'A' side for the injured Shane Lee.

Does anyone know if Channel 9 are televising either or both of the games?

I hope they do, the Australia A team concept needs to be supported. :)

It was great that season when Australia A played in the proper one-day series against the first Australian team and England and Zimbabwe.

It was said on the ABC today that they would be providing radio coverage of these 'A' games.

nah, i dont theyre on the tv.

I think it is good to play lead-up games against Australia "A" however it was a stupid decision to include them in the actual competition.

The amount of tension it created was just not worth it, especially when people are going for Australia A instead of Australia come finals time.

To add to that, they were also unsanctioned games like the South Africa vs India farce a couple of months ago. Why create a team that actually makes the games worthless?

If the ACB were sooooo confident against Zimbabwe and England that year, they should have rested players and replaced them with youngsters (2-3 per game) instead of creating a new side.

Australia A batted first against the kiwis and made 5/282. Fairly good total which will take some chasing from the New Zealanders.

Not on telly. C7 are doing the tennis, and Ch9 aren't showing it.
Having them in the one-day series wasn't a great move. Especially moving players from one team to the other - and taking Paul Reiffel from Australia A to be 12th man for Australia during the finals turned the whole thing into a joke.

Funny scorecard. No one over 50 but then there was 4 batsmen that got over 40 and there were quite a few run outs.

Australia A win comfortably.

Predictable clamour of how Australia's second best side could beat any other country will begin as a rumble, become an avalanche if they beat South Africa on Thursday.

NZ bowled out for 222, 60 less than Aus A. Wicket takers: Clarke 3/45 & MacGill 3/71!

Basically everyone in the Australia A side performed Lehmann 50 then there were all the other batsman who made 40s Campbell, Maher, Blewett, Katich.

Then in the bowling everyone who bowled managed to take at least one wicket.
