Not injured. Just finding it tough to get a game with all the competition. To be fair, he probably got injured at a bad time. Missed a couple of games but the players that replaced him did more than enough to hold their spot, so he is not playing some really good footy in SANFL but just can't break into the side.

I think you mean he is playing some really good footy, don't you Stiffy?
His SANFL form has been excellent. Just too much competition for his spot at present.
He could be worth a trade at the end of the year - maybe to our cross-town cousins who have serious mid-field deficiencies..

He would be of some value if we added him as a part of a package deal
North Melbourne or Carlton might be interested if we can work a group trade with them as he would be a quality player who would not command a large salary, they are trying to as close to the 92.5% as possible after all.

If Port can almost pull off a trade for Thurstans who is an absolute 100% gold plated king sized dud, then Skipworth should be tradeable, probably along the lines that Crows98 suggested.
Not everybody shares your pre-conceived pre judices!! :p

Macca Thurstans has height and that's a scarece commodity.....a midget, slow rover is not exactly in high demand

How about 2 birds with one stone.
A Thurstans for Skipworth trade.:p
Although we would be getting the better end of the stick in this deal.

I'll take that
As WW noted talls are hard to come by
He cant be as bad as Stevens? :o

Skippy could always get a job as a specialised <40m kicking coach - from yesterday's game it looks like he's already teaching his unique skills to Ken.

I thought both may have gone to the same coaching clinic.
Thurstans was useless today. He has enjoyed his five minutes of fame.

I went to that game today, and you had to be there to appreciate just how incompetent he really is.
As a Port friend of mine said to me after the game, he just put a rubber stamp on his forehead "not to be picked again"
Sorry WW, but as usual your victims are nowhere as near as bad as you purport them to be.
Height be buggered. Skipworth looks like a Brownlow Medallist by comparison to Thurstans.

Skippy is probably the player that divides this board the most IMO. There are those who see his role in the club and take him for what he is (a serviceable midfield back-up) and there are those who would rather he never wear the tri colours again.
I think he's a very handy back-up to have and the only thing keeping him out of our 22 is the good form of others (Doughty in particular). I have no doubt that he would continue to perform his role on the team if given the chance and I think he will get that chance in the next few weeks.

Is that why he's not getting games.
I have discovered why you stickup for Skipworth, McGregorm, Shirley, ...there all WWT players.....a bit of bias here Macca? ;)

Never mind Skipworth, some on here still think Jericho has a trade value.
If you tried to trade Skip, Jericho, Stevens etc you would get same or less.

I'd be looking to trade them for draft selections rather than players.

Wouldn't be worth it. You wouldn't get a selection under 50 for any of them.

I think Jericho has some trade value. I dont rate him as a player but I just get the impression that he is over rated by people in football.
He always seems to get good wraps by some football Commentators, opposition fans seem to see him in a good light. You would think that other clubs would know better and would not trade for him but you never know.
His pace (which I think is overrated) and athletic ability might just be enough for someone to take the gamble.

And you would be right. Players that have potential and a bit of X-factor will always have some value until they burn all their bridges.
I am sure there would be coaches out there that think they can turn Jericho into a real AFL player.
Jericho definetly has more trade value than Skipworth or Stevens.

Let's just hope potential suitors didn't watch the preseason grand final. Beucase you can guarantee those that did, wouldn't give up a pick uner 50 for him.

Yes, that is my old club (West Torrens was) but that's totally irrelevant. players get judged by how they play, not by where they come from.
I don't believe I have any bias for or AGAINST these players, but I think we both know someone who has.
I'll point, you smile!! ;)
