To the fans of the Wimpy Hill boys, I just wanted to say I empathise with you and know how lonely it can be at the bottom... Especially when you're the ONLY team with one solitary win after 8 rounds of Football.
Watching all those other teams slowly creep ahead while you lose games by narrow margins can be heartbreaking I know, we've been there before.
But while the rest of the competition pulls further away from the bottom of the ladder, and from Essendon I thought I'd give you guys something to do to chase away the Wimpy Hill Blues.
This is a competition to see who can make the best Paper Bomber... Ive put a picture in for you to give you a bit of an idea, but Im sure by the end of the season you'll all be expects :thumbsu:

Good luck for the rest of the season, and may all your saturdays, sundays or even friday nights continue to be lonely at the bottom :)

Whats the point to this post? To make you feel better about supporting Richmond, the team that has lost by over 100 points twice this season. At least all our matches have been competitive, when Richmond lose its a blow out. I find it funny how when the tigers get a win everyone comes out and baggs the other clubs and talk up there side so much. Yes it it frustrating to be a bomber supporter this year but as history shows it must be extreemly frustrating for the tigers supporters for a very long time.
You will probably end up higher on the ladder than us this year and maybe on the bottom but at least it will be the first time since about 70 years unlike the tigers who live down there. I cant wait for the tigers to be spanked again so eveyone can stick to all the cocky supporters.

Just thought I'd point out this glaring hypocricy;

Compeltley contradicts this...

It doesnt contradict it at all. What im saying i laugh at is how Richmond supporters give it out when they win when there not much themselves. Not so much on this forum but another when richmond win the board is flooded with how good the tigers players are and when they lose its completely dead. Bandwagon supporters. And why do i hope Richmond get bagged the :D:D:D:D through? Because they give a whole heep out....
Enjoy Essendon being a average side because you had to wait a hell of a time.

^Really in 2001 we made the grand final and were the minor Premiers. And last year was the first time we hadnt made the 8 in about 10 years. When was the last time Richmond won a grandfinal let alone made one?

30,000 members after 26 years of no cup-no mate-that's not bandwaggoning-and what was the crowd between the Bombouts and Carlton the other week-a measly 32,000-jumping off the paper planes I see you band waggoners.:D

Whoops, average for 4 years then, and getting progressivley worse every year... You dont deserve to even be called average over this and last season... Well and truly below average. :thumbsu:
And looking at your list, it's going to get even worse before it gets better. :thumbsu:

We'll win a flag before you taste finals again. I bet Carlton wins a flag before you do.

Optimism, the thing to warm you through winter and make you come back again next year. :thumbsu:
If you took a dispassionate look at your list, you would agree that you wont be challenging for anything other than spoons for the next 2-3 years, and more likely 5 years +
Carlton have a better group of kids than the Wimpy Hill girls.:thumbsu:

Anything over 3 years is pretty much impossible to predict IMO.. 2-3 years is the longest you can guess at future developments and even then its a long way.
3 seasons of trading and drafting can completley change a club's personel, take a look at Richmond's squad in Rnd 22, 2004 then compare it to yesterday's game (only 30 matches in between) and the amount of name changes is very long.
Though most squads dont clean out their lists as quickly as Richmond have, and Essendon appear to have started last year getting rid of a bit...
In all reality, you could still make finals this year, wont happen but its a chance.

That's fine.
Though the paper planes thing has already been done at the club. Twice now. So dice is a few weeks late. I bet he'll pull out the richmond special, the one about how to tear up memberships next week.
However it's when knob ends start pulling out s--t about bandwagoning, especially a richmond supporter(s), that's when it gets pathetic.

How on earth could you possibly accuse Richmond supporters as being bandwagoners? After our last 2 decades we still manage to get 30,000 odd members.
How many other clubs would be getting those numbers after our last 2 decades????
Obviously Essendon or Carlton wouldn't after seeing the crowd figures last week, you guys are jumping off quicker than rats deserting a sinking ship, which is afterall quite an apt analogy... dont ya think? :)

Save Our Skins... what was that now?? 1990ish? And you wanna have a go at me for bringing up something that's 2 weeks old? LMAO.
And how many of them have pre-1995 memories? Well Id say quite alot. I was at the Legends game and also at the SOS Rally at the G... There were about 10,000 people there that day, and dying aside, Im sure most of em are still around...
Dont worry though, every loss is closer to a win:thumbsu: Chin up Charlie.

1996 was the year you had the biggest influx of price tags show up to games. Prior to that, you were battling for supporters. It's the same for all clubs.

It was a stupid question Davo that's why I ignored it. You only had to watch Richmond yesterday to see a team backing themselves and showing guts to ground out a win.

We beat the Flag Faves who were the shortest priced favorites for this game than any other team has ever been before... In other words, no-one gave us a chance, but the team showed faith and guts in each other and the gameplan to win in teh greatest upset of the season to this point.

Looks like Essendon are going to join the ranks of clubs with no pride who win wooden spoons in the modern era.
Being crap is one thing, but those with a little pride avoid finishing dead last. Only those like Richmond and Carlton do not.
