I have always tried to look at life in a positive manner ie things happen for a reason or if they do happen then I must look for the positive.

Gee its been hard with all these injuries though.

But I found the positivity today.

Last year we had minimal injuries which helped our team work NCs game plan and practice it. With the injuries this year those players remaining have helped the new players adapt to the new system , thereby increasing the numbers of players ready to play a part when required further down the track.

Not only for the rest of this year but next year we will have many more players with the ability to play the NC way

Good Post. But I also think another positive is that Neil has instilled into these young players, in fact all of our players, that when you play for this club you need to take responsibility and play your part in the team. They seem to revel under these conditions and it has worked remarkably well so far. He is a brilliant coach and has brought a lot of confidence back to our playing group.

On a side note, why cant our players heal according to schedule, I was looking at this weeks injury list on afc.com.au and...

Ben Hart broken arm 8 weeks
Ben Hudson knee Late 2006 season
Ian Perrie knee7 weeks
Darren PfeifferbackTBC
Nathan Bock back 8 weeks
Chad Gibsonquad test
Richard Douglas knee 6 weeks
Bernie Vince quadTest
Jason Porplyzia kneeTest
Luke Jericho shoulder 1 week

So again Bocks returns been put back, and i now doubt he'll see action this year. A round 16 return to training, and allowing over a month to get match fit, theres very little opportunity for him from now on.

Gets!

I just can't wait for Huddo to come back. I've had enough of our two imposters masquerading as ruckman.

Clarke is what you'd expect from a tap ruckman in his final year, but Biglands is the disappointment.

For his physique, strength and experience he should be tearing sides apart, but he's only doing it in fits and starts (as always) instead of grabbing games by the throat.

But in Biglands case he seems to always put in the odd performance to get us sucked in again in that he is on the verge of AFL ruckman extraordinarie.

Have we ever had a worse start to the year in regards to not only injuries in total but injuries to "key" players.

& still we are sitting in the top 4 so for me that is a major positive.:thumbsu: :)

Look at Collingwood this time last year. They were hit hard with injuries and finished somewhere at the bottom of the ladder. We probably have been hit harder with injuries in 2006, yet still linger in the top 4. :thumbsu:

Dougie has 6 weeks to focus on conditioning and will return as a mammoth of a man.

We have done well considering the injuries, but geez we cannot afford too many more key ones, or we will be in strife!

Is Edwards out a 'key' injury... Damn we can't catch a break this year.

Bad luck or do people think there is more to it, i.e. over training etc.
