Simmonds has been great this year. Gives 100% every week.

Ottens no loss atm, but still very important for the Cats chances.

ottens had had a great last month.
before that he has been under an injury cloud since he got to the club.
Move on. This has been done so many times. And why is it that Richmond supporters start it?

5 year deal, smart thinkling?

Considering we got a fantastic ruckmen who is always fit & mobile, contributes around the ground and can play up forward for $200,000 a year as opposed to paying Ottens whose star has seriously faded and is always going to have a cloud over his fitness $400,000+ a year I'd say the 5 year deal is well justified (at this stage anyway).

For the record Ottens has played alright over the last month as a 10 possession ruckmen however I don't think he will ever be the 50 goal forward the Geelong recruited him as. However he still has time I guess

Ottens is a good player, but overpayed. Simmonds is a good player, and worth every cent.

I believe Ottens is better, but Simmonds is giving good value for money at the moment.

FWIW everyone is getting sick of these Ottens threads, including 99% of Richmond fans.

Both clubs have moved on, and both are happy with what they have. Let it go!

He is supposed to play more up forward for us, but with so many injuries to King, he is our number one ruckman, which was never the full intention.
