During my "illustrious" amateur footy career I played most of my time as a CHB or Full Back and thus I have a special interest in how these positions are played.

Kicking the ball out after a point should not be carried out by just anyone, it is a very onerous job and takes alot of skill. It should not be given to which ever pretty boy midfielder / half back who is wandering past.

With all our highly paid coaches, I reckon they are failing miserably in this area. Grab Con Reagan, he might just know a thing or two.

I'll help out, should be able to put them on the right track after a session or two.

At times they get Schammer to kick out and I cringe each time this happens. He always kicks short when he kicks out and makes it so obvious to the other team where the ball is going. I reckon Jonhson should be our deginated kicker

tell me about it we had some blunders this weekend. we need dedicated player

Not PARKER
Not SCHAMMER (Waste of Talent in Backline)

maybe use Mundy who is smart penetrating kick

ALSO we are SLOW in getting the ball out.

The Roos forward line flood would have made it far harder than usual.

Magic is not the bloke to take them as he was on the end of many.

Schammer is fine, Duffield and Mundy are also good options. Even Peter Bell.

When Polak is in the ruck he is a good long option, grover and parker short options.

I don't see this as a huge issue.

The kick out is a major weapon, a team that can perfect it can use it in a very lethal manner. If you do not use the kick in well, the ball will just bounce back and one point becomes seven points.

Full Back is a very underated position, a good one is worth his weight in gold.

dont disagree with you at all, we are very slow in gettign the ball out also which affects our ability to move the ball.

Mundy & Duffield are both excellent kicks over short & long distance and are my preferred options. Schammer should be played further up the ground and bring back Hayden as small defender.

We don't have a full back atm.

Grover and Parker can fill the position but are not true full backs, They are not big enough.

Johnson is not a full back.

In the modern game there is not much need for a "full back"

A full back is a purely defensive player, with our lack of success in the clearances we could not afford to carry a full back. All of our defenders must be prepared to attack. They are playmakers. Parker is the exception to this rule.
