I see that the club is having a testimonial luncheon for Macca.

This is a darn good idea, although Macca was not making a big deal about it and as usual laughed his way through the press interviews. I'd say his jolly sense of humour has got him through his injuries, daggers wounds and the pressure of captaining the team through their darkest period.

I wonder if the club will offer Action Man a testimonial dinner ?, I assume they will, but you have to get him there first.

Macca came across really well on the interviews I watched, down to earth and very funny. When he eventually decides to retire (end 2007 hopefully) I think he would be a good pickup for a Perth media team looking for a bit of balance.

Regarding testimonials, I always remember looking at my inaugural squad poster and wondering which players would make the grade. I picked Macca back then but not Parks. Abraham and Mann weren't such good picks though.
