what the ?

Rucci mentioned www.bigfooty.com in his weird weekly roast section. There is no doubt that many Crows fans that read the paper, watch the news and visit the official site would have not known about this site.

I don't think there's any doubt about the fact that every time Rucci or the 5AA boys mention BigFooty that it provokes curiosity and ultimately more BigFooty posters.

So indirectly, Rucci is our unpaid Promotions Manager!!

Many thanks for the free plug, Michelangelo. :thumbsu:

KG's continual references to us as (paraphrasing) 'those idiots on the internet' during the process-saga were priceless, given he's spent 2-3 decades making his money off the back of talkback radio. :)

That pretty much how I came across the site.

I had not heard of this website until we got flogged by brisbane by 143 points or whatever it was. There was section on the sports report how people were venting their frustration on the internet etc etc and they showed the bigfooty site.

Best thing to come out of that loss! :D

I was thinking AA and Fred should perhaps send Mr Rucci a complimentary Bigfooty T-shirt for the free plug. Its the least they could do. :D

Sounds like a good idea. Should come up with a slogan from the Adelaide BF Board to demonstrate our love for the Rooch & his great work in spreading the word of BF.

BLOG SOUP

CROWS coach Neil Craig – perhaps after taking a subtle dig from Collingwood mentor Michael Malthouse in The Australian last week – is seeking to distance himself from the tag of “scientist”. On Adelaide’s website he has declared he is not totally computer literate saying when the club asked him to host a “blog” session the site: I had absolutely no idea what it was about: He continues: “So to avoid being laughed at by computer savvy daughters, I went and looked it up and was surprised to discover that ‘blogs’ are “a web phenomenon”. Each week Craig will put a topic for debate on www.afc.com.au and his club’s fans can blog away. Shall be interesting to see how this affects the tired old hacks on www.bigfooty.com .

If anyone did join or view the site it would be interesting how many, so plz post in this thread. Atm we appear to have a grand total of 0. Shows how many people actually read the paper doesnt it. Makes you wonder what all the fuss is about sometimes.

if i were a tired old hack, I think I would be comforted in knowing that such monikers thrown by a local adelaide journalist probably don't have a great deal of consequence.

but really it's only fair, we read him, he reads us. he gets under our skin (personally i don't give a toss about him, but collectively), and we (collectively) get under his skin. I guess he however can no longer take the high ground and pretend to rise above it all.

the yin and yang is quite touching.

and if we are all "tired old hacks" at least we can still take some comfort in the fact that if all else fails we can still resort to becoming a journalist.

Nice one Apollo. In that spirit, maybe we should have:
Milbank, Robertson, Capel, Caroline Wilson, Robert Walls, Rohan Connolly>>>>>>>>>>Rucci

or
"Doug Robertson for Chief Football Writer", perfect for badges, pins, t-shirts, mugs etc. and also makes the point without mentioning Satan's name.

Shall be interesting to see how this affects the tired old hacks on www.bigfooty.com .Intriguing :) is how Rucci sees a coach's blog hosted by the club (ie, moderated and censored by the club) as being in some way superior to an open supporters' forum.

Seeing as how the club is to be condemned for having a policy of lying to the media, and all.

Old hacks hey?

If only he used that term to describe Port Adelaide's list last season.

And if he omitted the word 'old' he'd have a nice word to describe Port Adelaide's list this season.

(Ironic coming from a Carlton supporter, I know :()

I like 'Zac Milbank for Chief Football Writer' myself.

I can see "Let's Back Zac" badges and t-shirts all over Adelaide.

LET'S BACK ZAC!

Like you, I'd rather have Rucci than Zac. Rooch is a peculiar form of warped entertainment and for all our slagging, we'd probably miss him if he's gone.

His struggle with the fact that Adelaide is doing well and his beloved Power has fallen into a pile of crap must be eating him up big time at the moment.

Doesn't that make you all feel warm and fuzzy inside?? ;) :D
