COz we aint very competitive..Seriously I'd say this current Cartlon team is a good Reserves grade team, with the physicality of an U19s team!

seriously, :D:D:D:D off...we know the facts, and there are PLENTY of other threads on similar issues. most supporters want to think positively about the future, but you are struggling. yes, we are going through a very dark patch at the moment, but we need all the support we can get. we dont need supporters like you to bag the club even more.

Glad to see the self appointed dictators of supporting etiquette are out in force. Rack off and let people express themselves. you dont like it BAD LUCK.
What gives you the right to tell people that they should only say positive things about carlton. What gives you the moral high ground in dictating how people express themselves. Nothing. ShlomoGlickstein I agree, and so do many others. Those people who not only have an inability to confront reality, perform self analysis and be honest in general, but also slag off those who do have the guts to do so, are perhaps the ones who need the keys to the room of mirrors.

The shag came out and said that even the blues have faced the hard questions this week.

Fascists.

Get off your high horse audas. There's nothing of value in this thread so people responded in kind.

Needs to be said. Fevola came out and said as much mate. Imagine if this is what needed to be said amongst the players, and apparantly it was, and people were told to f**k off.

I get it, we aren't terribly skilled for a senior AFL side. I get it, we are pushed off the ball to easily.

Now that said, let's address the thread literally.

The Northern Bullants are a top reserves side. The Carlton best 22 is several grades higher than the Bullants. If you put our best 22 into the Bullants, the Bullants would go through the year undefeated with a huge percentage. They would also dominate physically.

So NO they are not a reserves side and are not only as physical as an under 19 side.

In the interest of fairness, I will say you are entitled to your opinion, but taking the thread literally, you are completely wrong and overreacting.

Audas, Fev never suggested anything like this thread. There is a world of difference between Under 19s, VFL and AFL. Struggling in the top level doesn't put you anywhere near the bottom level.

That would suggest our list has great depth, or we are stuck in a Reserves quality mind-set, hence the terrible AFL performances?

ODN i was pointing out the act that Fev had stated that the playeres had to face some really hard questions about themselves, the truth as it were, and that these were difficult, hard and ugly things to face. I was pointing out that we have to be allowed to be self criticial, say harsh things about ourselves, as fev was, without being told to rack off, unloyal, unblue etc. I am always on about this. It really bites that people try to silence opinions they dont agree with. your post in response is sensational. Others were appalling.

But even your post leaves a question remaining. We may go undefeated in the magoos, but does that mean we are an excellent reserves team, or a poor firsts team ?

(Dont try and bend the spoon for there is no spoon..............)

We are an AFL side make no mistake. If we were closer to a VFL side than an AFL side, we would lose by 20 goals every week.

We've added 4 players who've mostly played in the VFL this year + French who's played 2 games.

But the players we added have kicked arse in the VFL, though we know they suck in the AFL.

It's simple fight or flight response, that this team prefers to flight. If these guys put up a fight, they'd get more respect and slowly win games. But when they let losers like Milne get the uppity, they cry.

We know the players have skill, apparently, but they have no strength of character - look at some of our 'best' players HOULIHAN, STEVENS, LAPPIN, Thornton (!!) - if they played the game with more tenacity, it would rub off, rather than having 19-20 year-olds show the way like Bentick, Murphy or Betts (who righfully got dropped).
